    I was starting to think that unless I did 15-20 miles at a clip, I might as well forget it. Sunday, there was a roadblock where I usually ride so I only got 5 miles in and not 15-20. I discovered that was ok too. Five miles is better than nothing. With daylight shorter I may only get in 5 instead of my usual 15-20. I am trying to convince myself that short rides are better than no rides. I hope I meet my goal this month.

    Finished a Century last month so I am trying to keep the momentum up through the fall and winter. Due to work I have to spin during the week with a 12 mile ride on Sats and 35-40 miler on Sundays.

    02/10 - 7miles (stationary bike)
    07/10 - 19miles (ave. 10mph - including 10min break halfway up a rather large hill!!)
    09/10 - 23miles (11.5miles each way to work)
    10/10 - 4.5miles (stationary bike)
    13/10 - 9miles (stationary bike)
    16/10 - 23miles (commute to work)

    Total = 85.5miles
    Goal = 100miles


    Well halfway done anyway - still have the ride home to do and I really am NOT looking forward to it. Tail wind this morning was good but I'm hoping it dies down for the ride home!!

    Cant believe how close I'm getting to my goal already!! But I dont think I'll be able to cycle in much more, its getting too dark :-( unless I invest in some awesome lights...can anyone suggest any good ones on a budget??

    I am in for October. Setting my goal for 200 miles. Since last months crash I will be starting slow. Getting better, started riding again today and I think by end of week I will be back to a normal ride 20 miles or so.

    10/1 - 23.5 miles - 13.4 ave - got my goal for the week 1st. day. Hip and Ribs felt good
    10/4 - 18.5 miles - 13.7 ave - very warm but windy SW 25 mph gusts to 31
    10/11 - 32.2 miles - 13.6 ave. - 61* nice out still a little windy
    10/14 - 5 miles - 11.6 ave. - 70* outside but 41 mph winds gusts to 60.
    10/15 - 34.7 miles - 13.5 ave - good day of riding





    113.9 miles for October = 1723.4 YTD

    Gorgeous sunshiney slightly cool day for a ride. A leisurely 16.52 miles in an hour and 44 minutes.

    Woops! haven't been keeping up with this.
    12.2 km each way to and from work last Friday
    the same yesterday
    and the same today
    about 8km the other evening.

    Sits me at 130 km for the month so far =)

    I run during the week, bike on the weekends, so far I have put up 80 miles in October, and going to add another 60 this weekend.

    What a gorgeous sunny WARM day here in Southeast Michigan. I was able to snag another 18.13 miles in a nice 1:38 ride. Top speed of 17.6 and average of 11.1. Didn't get off the path too much as ground was a bit soft.

    Today's ride home from work was a good one. I covered the 11 miles in 39 minutes. That's the fastest I've ridden that to date.

    I'm using these to commute to work in the mornings and so far I'm pretty impressed. I'd like to have a brighter headlight at times but for a budget set they work good. I think I paid around $25 for the set.
