    Starting Weight 158lb
    Goal Weight 140lb - I would like to reach this by 12th November... Just in time for my holiday :)

    I am 50 years old and 5' 5.5" and I reached my goal weight of 125 lbs today! Yay!
    I started in early March 2012 so it's been 7 months. SW = 153 lbs, and I've lost 28lbs.
    That works out to roughly 1 lb a week and it was pretty steady when I was good :-)

    MFP wanted me to do 1200 cals at the start. I felt awful. I lightened up my expectations
    and ate around 1300-1400 cals a day. I was still starving much of the time but I got used to it,
    and I felt better. I have been steadily going to a personal trainer 3x a week (weight training, almost no cardio).
    I did the TDEE - 20% calories and did not eat back exercize calories-- it was too hard to estimate them.

    It took me 2 months to lose the last 5 lbs. As I got leaner it was harder to make the scale budge.
    I went from a snug size 12 jeans to mostly size 6 now (and I bought a size 4 last week!).
    Terrified of "maintenance" but I plan to continue to log and am allowing myself a little more (healthy eating)
    freedom and targing 1600 cals a day going forward. Not too much room to splurge!

    I'm 5'6. I started out at 209 in Nov 2010 and today the scale said 159. I have progress pictures in my profile. I've been on weight watchers for almost 2 years and have recently started working with a trainer.

    Ummm, I've been doing this since August 18 (i believe) 2011. I did Turbo Jam, Turbo Fire and Chalean Extreme. I know lifting weights. Not really any secrets. I ate anything I wanted to in the 1st 8 months & lost 43lbs. Then I started eating cleaner, not completely clean though. A few months ago I went Gluten Free, because it was giving me some problems problem.

    Such inspiring stories. I started my journey about a month ago. Lost 6lbs within 3 weeks and another 3lbs but a week later, scale said I gained 3. :( Nothing changed in my eating pattern, so this added 3lbs is a shocker. Trying not to get dejected and keep at it. Proud of you all. Please send me good vibes... :)

    I've just posted a topic on Success Stories, so i had the picture code ready lol

    Here's me, 5'5', I've lost more than 35 pounds, I'd say about 40 something, but I didn't measure my weight from the beggining. Now I've but a couple (or so :)) ) of pounds back on, but not much, like two kilos, but I'm back on track and hopefully will start losing again soon :)

    Wow everyone has such amazing stories! It is unbelievable what we can do when we really set our minds to something.

    I'm 23 years old, 5'6" with a medium frame. I reached my greatest weight in January of this year which was 245 lbs. The moment I stepped on the scale and saw that number, I knew it was time to lose weight. Since then, I have lost 93 lbs and I currently weigh 153 lbs with muscle. My original goal weight was 150 lbs which is 3 lbs away but I have updated my goal weight to be 140 lbs. When I felt by most fit, I was 135 lbs. However, friends and family members would always tell me that I was too thin, so I think 5 lbs more than that with muscle should be great.

    To lose the weight I did, I counted calories, exercised 5 times a week. The calories I ate were very clean and one day a week I allow myself to have a treat. I started exercising by walking everyday for awhile. Now I go running 2-3 days a week and strength train 3-4 days a week.

    To lose the last 13 lbs, I'm going to start Insanity. Wish me luck :)

    i am 5'7" i topped out at 320 pounds in march 2012 i now weigh 262 october 2012. i still have a ways to go but 56 lbs so far ill take it :) hopefully the lbs will keep coming off i work out everyday and so far its payed off but it seems ive been 262 forever and no more lbs are falling off

    I'm 5,7" and started at 276 in July, 2011 I'm down to 185. It is a lot of hard work watching the portions and exercising but all worth it. You can see picture on my profile.

    Hi, I'm 5'6 and I started at 252 in June 2012 and am now 201, I'd like to be around 180 for my birthday on February 25th 2013 and then reach my goal of 150 in June 2013 (exactly a year after I started). I cut out chocolate and crisps and pretty much all junk food, I eat as clean as possible with lots of protein, fruit and veggies. From doing zero exercise a few months ago, I now work out 5 days a week and walk every day at work. I have another 50lbs to lose, but I know I can do it, I'm never going back!

    My family has a long history of heart disease and complications, which is always in the back of my mind. I've changed my lifestyle for me, for my own self-esteem and confidence, but also because of my knowledge of my families health history. Having a strong heart is important!

    I loved reading through everyones stories, they are incredibly inspiring. We can achieve anything if we put our mind to it and stay dedicated! :drinker:

    I'm 5'7" my biggest was 205 prior to my first pregnancy. After having my first daughter I got down to 130 by eating around 1700 cal a day and jogging 5 miles a day. After having my second child I got back up to 180. Currently i do strength training 3x/wk cardio 6x/wk and eat according to MFP! I am down to 145 atm and still working at trying to get toned. I'd say mix up your exercise routine so you dont get bored :):):)
