    Macoun is my favorite but very limited season for availability, my second favorite apple is Braeburn, then granny smith, then Macintosh.

    It's Fall here in upstate NY and that means APPLES!!

    My favorites are Jazz (cross between Royal Gala and Braeburn) and Honey Crisp.

    Are there major differences in calorie counts among apples?
    - a quick search in the database and it looks like they're all pretty much the same (i looked at honey crisp, gala, fuji, breaburn and macintosh)

    GRAVENSTEINS - - people "waste" them on apple sauce, but i have a whole sack of them at my desk.....and i just LOVE a mealy apple....nobody understands me :( and i don't care! lol
