I love smoothies but Im running out of good, healthy/low cal, FILLING ideas.
What do you normally make? What are its macros?
My favorite right now is
1/3 c frozen blueberries
100g (small container) yogurt
1/2 c unsweetened almond milk
1/2 c frozen banana
1/2 tsp cinnamon

everyone tells me it looks gross but my favorite right now is
1 scoop - vanilla soy protein powder
1 c - papaya
1/2 c - soy milk
1 tbsp - psyllum seed husks
1 c - spinach
1 tsp - spirulina powder

I make a pumpkin smoothie every day.
1/2 cup pumpkin
1 small banana
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice0 -

Frozen mixed berries or bananas(any frozen fruit will work, it keeps you from having to use ice)

My favorite and the only one I use is:
1 cup of frozen strawberries
1/2 cup of water
1 tablespoon of Skippy Natural Low Sodium & Sugar Peanut Butter
1/2 scoop vanilla whey protein
1 pkg of equal
It tastes so good to me. I may add more peanut butter from time to time depending on my activity level for the day.0 -
Just tried a butterfinger one this morning. I use
1 scoop choc whey powder
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2T peanut butter
2T sugar free instant butterscotch pudding mix
1 cup crushed ice
This was awesome and I just ordered some PB2 so I can cut the cals even more.0 -
My go-to smoothie:
2c spinach
1 banana
2T PB
1c greek 0% yogurt
1 scoop vanilla isolate
Handfull ice cubes
Makes appox 32oz
564 calories, 46g carbs, 63g protein, 17g fat0 -

I have been making a chocolate caramel protein smoothie.
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
3/4 cup skim milk
sugar free caramel syrup (in the coffee aisle)
ice cubes
Pretty tasty for under 250 calories!0 -

My current fave is:
1/3 of a fresh pineapple (1/2 pineapple is better, but pineapple is just so dang expensive!)
4 or 5 (or 6) handfulls of baby spinach
1/4 inch fresh ginger
1 whole lemon, peeled
in the blender with 3-4 icecubes.
It's thick and pulpy, but so so tasty!0 -

1 cup of original light soy milk

Blend that up and either add in seperate or add in and blend tiny amount

Handful of frozen cherries (seeds removed before freezing)
half a banana
handful of baby spinach
Blend all ingredients in blender. Tastes just like chocolate covered cherries!0 -

It's just under 400 cal but you can drop it to 300 by using carb smart yogurt. I don't like the texture with carb smart. I also don't like to use ice so I freeze my yogurt and buy frozen berries in bulk.

Or

I have a recipe to use Vanilla Protein Powder, blueberries and milk that I'm going to try one of these days. And I have also used Strawberries instead of a banana in the first one as well.0 -

My FAVORITE smoothie is from Cynthia Sass's Cinch! book: Chocolate Pear Ginger Smoothie.
1 small pear, sliced
1/4 cup rolled oats
8 oz skim milk
1/4 cup chocolate chips (I use dark chocolate chips, and melt them in the microwave)
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
Place the pear, oats, milk, chocolate chips, and ginger in a blender. Blend until smooth.0 -
