I think you're beautiful no matter what. But you look unhealthy in the middle picture. As for your boyfriend, he should take a hike. Do this for YOU, not ANYONE else. Then, you'll be happy. Don' t worry about what other people think. As long as you are healthy and comfortable with your own body you will fine the perfect weight for you. Don't starve for someone else.0

You look beautiful in the first pic!
In the second picture in my honest opinion you do look too thin.
Even the third picture is a bit too thin looking, but better than the middle one.
I hope you always value yourself and accept your body as the wonderful gift it is. Take care of you for you, and don't listen to other voices that say negative things..... .there are way way too many out there!

Lose the boyfriend and get back to your starting weight. Honestly, you look just right in that picture.
If YOU find you'd like to change something about yourself at that point, tone up and exercise. You were the perfect weight for your height in that first picture and looked (& were) healthy.
You're hurting your health to be that skinny.0 -

You look gorgeous in all of the photos. As long as you're healthy and feel confident go with what works for you, but that said, you look much more healthy in the top and last photos, the middle one you almost look like your too thin. Would be a great weight if you had some lean muscle mass though. Good luck sweetie!0

I think you look most comfortable in your own skin in the first picture. If you don't feel that's right for you that the last picture is fine....but definitely the weight you were in the middle picture, it is not flattering and cannot be healthy for you. This is just my opinion though, which you asked for. As said in other posts, we each know what truly makes us feel comfortable. Only you can really decide.0

honey for your height your first picture you were just fine. the middle picture is not healthy at all, you are too skinny. and if your boyfriend is not happy with you the way you are. then you need to lose him. get rid of negativity like that. and be happy with your own self. ♥♥♥0

I'm also in agreement with many here. The middle picture you are way to thin and gaunt. You look great in the last photo. I think you should just start working out to build some muscle. Keep up the good work. You look awesome.0

i think you should feel comfortable in your own skin. i agree you looked much too thin in the middle picture. if your boyfriend was telling you to drop some weight my opinion is you should drop HIM. I'd bet you'd feel much lighter after that! you looked young and beautiful in the first picture.
I totally agree with quoted poster. You look lovely how you are now. The middle pic you did look quite thin.

If it means anything, I'm 5'8" and started at 150 lbs and stopped at 130 lbs and I'm happy where I am. I find between 125 and 135 to feel healthy for me but 120 seems low. Just IMO But I think you look great in all the photos!
ETA: I think the fact that you have this thread asking everyone's opinions just goes to show that there is something underlying this weight loss that is not about how you look/feel. For example, you lost weight because your bf said to, and gained weight because your friends/family said to. You gotta figure out what YOU want and where YOU feel most comfortable and happy and healthy. Not a vote based on what everyone on MFP thinks. Everyone has different opinions of what is ideal, really thin people might think the middle is great, really large people might think the top photo is skinny, when I know what it's like to be 5'8 and 140, it's not ideal for me either, and for you maybe it isn't either! Just pick where you feel happiest and healthiest!0 -
I think you look fantastic in the third picture (the weight you are now). Your middle picture looks like you are recovering from a recent illness (sorry).
I think the only weight you really needed to have lost was 175 pounds of boyfriend!!0 -
Wow I'm surprised people are still posting on this! But just as an update if anyone was curious....I'm back to about 140, but more toned now. I think I'm on the right track to feeling good about myself.
And yes, I did lose about 200 lbs because I dumped the guy
Just saw this!!!! This makes me so happy 140 can be great for 5'8" but body composition is important. 140 and really high BF% doesn't look great but you can be 140 with muscle mass and look 120! Glad you lost the jerk0 -
