61 to 64. 61 at night and 64 during day if its windy specially. I don't like paying for heat :P0

my husband is always warm, so I can't put it above 70 or he'd get all cranky, but I'd LIKE to have it around 75-78
my husband is the same...we compromised and I got it to 72, any higher and you'd swear he was dying faster than frosty in a volcano..0 -
60 at night, no more than 65-68 during the day. We're northerner's, so we really need to watch it.0

Either 62 or 66 depending on the time of day (programmed). Our downstairs is about 10 degrees colder so lots of layers.0

I'm really surprised at all the people running heat while at work or sleeping. What a waste of money and resources. Is there a reason for doing that?
I live in Cali, so it rarely dips below 40. If it does, we all act like our lungs will freeze if we step outside. LOL. But, still, why would you run the heat while you're not home?0 -

Because for a lot of us the high in the winter can be 20 degrees. It wouldn't make much sense to heat your house up to 70, then just shut it off and let all the warm air out/cold air in would it? THAT would be a waste of money. Because no matter how good a house is insulated, it is still going to have a draft..0 -

This.... and some of us have pets. Yes, they have fur coats, but if they're not outdoor pets they don't grow a heavy winter coat... and if they did, it would be cruel to turn the heat up on them.0 -

Makes sense. I don't have any pets. I never thought of that. I do worry about my guitars sometimes.
I guess it makes sense to keep it minimally heated so that when you get home and turn it up, it doesn't take a ton to heat the house up again. I wonder which way would cost less though. I mean, I'm gone 10 to 12 hours during each week day. Keeping it heated all that time seems so wasteful. But, as I said, I don't live in freezing conditions, so maybe there some aspect to that I don't understand.0 -

This sounds like something the Mythbusters should test.0 -
I am constantly turned at "off" and I'm in winter mountain country. For some reason our place is so hot without the heat on. My gas bill will not climb over $25 all winter. And no I don't have coats or boots on. I wish it would get colder in here actually! When it is on, it's 65.0

I have mine set at 66 right now, usually at about 63/64. BUT, I have a few drafty living room windows that I hafta winterproof still, and it's 18 outside, so I had to turn it up a little!0

30 degrees Celsius0

I never turn my heat on, I live in SETX we don't get to cold.0
-
30 degrees Celsius
And if I could turn it up any higher, I would.0 -
I am not sure if I even have heat - I literally never use heat or air conditioning at home.....0

i live in the desert so anything lower then 80 is chilly to me. I keep my heat at 73 and carry around a blanket and sleep with flannel sheets.0
-
71- Always freezing downstairs, but too hot upstairs.0
-
74-80. 74 most of the time. If it gets in the 60's at night when I'm asleep it sounds like I'm hacking up a lung in the morning and no, I'm not a smoker.0
-
65 during the day and 68 at night. My husband says it's freezing, I say put another layer on.0
-
64 year around0
-
Thermostat is set to 65 but we have a pellet stove and its usually around 85, hehe.0

in the winter i keep ours at 60..... but only because we heat with a woodstove . which really heats it up to about 70-75 all winter. plus i can log all of my wood chopping and hauling as exercise0
-
if not not home 60, home 720
-
I keep it pretty toasty because I like to walk around naked :-))))0
-
Umm...I would have it at zero but I have it at 16 (approx your 60) for the cats in the day. I only ever put it on if I'm literally freezing, like cold through socks, slippers, flannel pjs and two sweaters. I just can't afford it. I'd rather save the money for a hot bath of an evening before bed.0

It costs too much to heat my apartment. So my husband and I keep the heat off. First time in this new apartment - it's gonna be a cold winter.
On the plus side - when I'm home freezing my *kitten* off, it motivates me to work out because I warm up! XD0 -
around 70 or 720
-
Heat at 62 in the winter, A/C at 72 in the summer...0
-
We have ours set to 20-21 when home and awake, 19 when away or sleeping0
