I am around 5'10" and have come down to 180ish lbs from 325. But.. my before pictures are just way too terrifying to share
I would post pictures of today if I could figure out how to post pictures.
I have failed as a techie girl...0 -
Oh, this thread made my night. I'm 5'10" and it's nice to see starting weights and goal weights that I can relate to.
I'm working toward being an "after".0 -
You ladies are rocking it!!!
I'm 5'10.5" and I have a before and during...
I started after my baby at 212 (I was 238 when I gave birth), then started tracking with MFP Sept 10th or so... and started lifting weights Sept. 30th..
When I started MFP (Sept 13th Photos): 198 lbs
This was after 2 months or so (Nov. 16th photo): at something like 175 lbs...
and a week later (Nov. 23rd Photo:
and my legs a few weeks ago:
I'm currently at 170lbs, with between 20 and 25 lbs and 10-12% BF to lose (the weight will depend on how I maintain my LBM). :-)
Not going to quit until I get there!!5 -
I'm 5'11" I started at 274 and am currently 183, so a total of 91 lost. I'd eventually like to get down to 160, but I'm focusing on making it to my 100pound mark for now!
wow! You look great! 183 looks good on you! All the best as you strive to reach your goals. You've come so far. I love how I can feel so proud of people I don't even know. Thanks for the inspiration, too.0 -
All of you look Amazing!!!0

Look at those legs! You are looking awesome :-)0

I'm only on day two...and these photos have really motivated me. I used to be on SparkPeople last year, then fell off the wagon... but so far I'm liking this app better. It's going to be a struggle with all the holiday parties, but I'm hoping that mfp will help me stay on track. I love having the tall girl photos - gives me something I can relate too. Yay, tall chicks rock!0

Awesome post. I'm 5'11" and currently at 175. I would love to get to a toned 160 or 155, which is what I weighed in high school. More important than the number...I want my clothes to feel better. I think tall girls have some leeway with clothes; for example, I can jam myself into my same Size 10 jeans whether I'm 195 or 175 but there's a huge difference in how they look. I had to take a break from most exercise because of a recent surgery, and although I weigh pretty much what I did before the surgery I have a lot more flab and I'd love to get it toned up.
I'm 41 years old and it's SLOW going but I am determined to get there. I really hope to be a success story by my wedding next year!0 -
AWESOME! 5'9"ish here, and very inspired! I'm only 10 lbs down but I can't wait to add to this thread...0

Hey tallies! Thank you for all the inspiration! I am literally just getting started toward a healthier life and at 5'9", I realize I'm a shorty... but I've always identified as big n tall n strong (even though I'm very, very weak and out of shape currently). Thanks for sharing your stories!0

First off, Yay for being tall. I'm 5'11 and I'm new to MFP. I'm 25 and I'm just getting started trying to change my life, I'm also doing this on my own. It's great to see everyones stories and it really helps motivate me. I'm on the right track though. I started out at 276 lbs wearing a size 18 and I am now at 266 lbs. My weight loss goal is to weigh in at 180 so I've got a bit to go but I'm finally ready.0

I am borderline 5'11/6'0 depending on who measures me...lol... My highest weight after the birth of my son was 345lbs and a size 28, I am currently a size 18 and am 242lbs! Any of you tall ladies feel free to add me for support! BTW...my goal weight is somewhere between 180 and 190!0

Hello tall ladies! I am 6 foot even and love being tall. I have maintained a 50 pound weight loss this past year. I still have 8-15 pounds I would like to lose. Age and hormones seem to working against my wishes though. I am ready to go after these last few pounds. I am in the process of writing down my fitness goals for the year to come. Will be ringing in the new year with a 5K! New friends are always welcome1

So jealous of you gorgeous tall ladies!0

I needed this thread. I really went off the rails in November and this is my first visit to the forums in over a month. Last month, I found out one of my cats has a serious illness, He's getting treatment now and is doing OK, but I got really down emotionally and wasn't motivated to work out. Add comfort eating on top of that and it's not pretty. I've pretty much wrecked all the progress that I made this year and I'm afraid to get on the scale. My jeans, which were loose in late October, barely button now. I wear skirts to work every day and the ones that were so loose that I considered getting them altered are all tight to not zipping all the way. Vanity aside, I've started waking up in the middle of the night again, which I know is due to not exercising, and I just feel gross in general. I'm so mad at myself.
I'm 5'11" and judging from the way my clothes are fitting, am probably in the 190s at this point. I've never been that high and it's freaking me out. I'm feeling better mentally and am back in fighting mode. Next week, I'm getting back on the wagon. I never thought I would have almost 40 pounds to lose, but I am determined. Feeling like I"m stuffed into my clothing is a feeling that I want to get rid of quickly.0 -
Firstly, WOW, you all look amazing! Beautiful before and after, you have all just amplified the beauty.
I am 5"10 and have always been told I don't look "fat" and that "I carry my weight well". I am a UK size 9/10 in shoes and a UK size 20/22 in clothes. Personally, I think I am huge. My avi is my most recent pic, I am 275lbs (HW : 310lbs), I want to be 175lbs, see what I look like and go from there.
You are all so inspirational. I can't wait now! I really can't. Thank you for boosting me that little bit more xx
PS, I want to lose weight, so I can wear my heels and be over 6" on a night out and pull off the dress I wear0 -
You all look amazing!0

Really inspirational posts. I'm 5'11".0
