These are my first before and after photos. The first two photos were taken when I started at MFP March 19, 2010 and weighed 206 pounds. The second two photos were taken today, April 15, 2010, after losing my first 10 pounds.
I still have a lot of work to do and am only one third of the way towards my initial goal of losing 30 pounds, but I thought the profile view change was pretty dramatic. I didn't realize that 10 pounds would make such a difference.
Thank you so much for sharing this!! I have just under 6 weeks to lose as much weight as posible for a friends beach wedding. I figured I could probably lose around 10 lbs but felt disheartened because i didnt think I would see much difference. you just proved me wrong and gave me lots of motivation! thank you thank you thank you!!!0 -

I just started my fitness pal today so I don't have any pictures, but I do have a story. Though my story may not be complete, what I can give you is a hand. So here's my story: I've been overweight my entire life, I was the chubby girl in elementary, middle school, and at the beginning of high school. But I had finally had enough! I told myself that I was going to get into shape no matter what. So throughout my high school career I trimmed off about 60 pounds. Unfortunately that wasn't my ideal weight, because I still had about 20 more pounds to lose. After that I fell off the horse and hadn't been cautious of what I was eating. I would tell myself that I'll start eating good today, but then later that week I would get off track. So today is the day that I continue my journey towards a healthier lifestyle again with the help of my fitness pal. Like everyone else, I need that boost. The helping hand to give me an apple instead of that bag of chips. Where's that little angel on my shoulder to guide me to the right things? So if you've read this, just know that we've all been there and sometimes need a little or a lot of help. The only thing that matters at the end of the day is whether or not you feel good about your accomplishments. And here's a tip, if you're looking in the freezer wanting to grab a bowl of ice cream or wanting that least piece of pie contemplating whether or not to eat it, write down the reasons why you want to lose weight (don't just think of the reasons) write em' down!0
