    Hootie and the mfkn Blowfish

Shutup! It was for a girl!

    Of course it was.....:p

One of my best friends in high school tried to get tickets to Hootie concerts on several occasions... but each time, it seemed like someone in his family died and he had to go to a funeral instead of obsessively redialing Ticketmaster. I think it was a sign.

    THAT SAID.

I would like to go to a Hootie concert. Feel free to hate me. The songs that didn't get played to death on the radio are damn good, in my terrible opinion.

    I don't think I can pick a most embarrassing.

    Backstreet Boys

    NSync

    Backstreet Boys- Front row

98 degrees- Front row and I slept outside in 2 degree weather overnight for those and then went on crutches to the concert after knee surgery LOL

    Joey McIntyre (from NKOTB)

And most recently NKOTBSB in Hershey in 2011.

You're in the wrong thread. This is supposed to be embarrassing concerts.
    ^This.

I saw BSB when I was 10. I was in the third row...I could taste AJ's sweat...

Third best day of my life.

With Howie Dorough at my cousin's wedding back in... 2006 or 2007? We're totes tight.

I would have asked to have at least one of his babies if it brought me closer to AJ.

I saw hootie and the blowfish, 98*, Amy Grant, Carmen, jethro Tull, styxx, journey (with Steve perry), blood, sweat, and tears, and several more that I can't think of right now... I'm not embarrassed of any of them, though some might be!! I'm proud of my questionable taste in music. I like what I like!

My first concert ever is my most embarrassing one back in 90's. My parents were separated at the time and my father had us for a few weeks one summer. As we were driving down to NC he informed my brother and me that he had picked us up tickets to an extremely popular band. The next night my brother and I got to listen to thousands of teenage girls scream as we suffered through

Well I only go to shows I really want to go to so mostly it is the opening act for Styx and REO Speed Wagon....

Ted Nugent was such an obnoxious dirt bag that I wanted to spend his set in the bathroom with toilet paper stuffed in my ears.

Recent off the hook awesome concerts included Florence and the Machine, Black Keys, Muse, Cold Play.....there is too much good music out there to do a crappy concert for any reason!

I don't know if it's embarrassing or not, but I once went with the hubby to see Mortis in concert. Now I don't *mind* the occasional death metal, but seeing as my favourite artist in the world is Cher, I'm as camp as a row of tents and generally tick a load of the boxes for "queen" status, I was just a touch out of place. Escpecially when the mosh pit broke out. Just to help put it into perspective.

    This is mortis.

    Nickleback.
  • I was new in town, 23 years old and childless, and went in to see a free concert by a band I'd never heard of - Banana Slug String Band - thinking it was some indie college band from UCSC (their mascot is the Banana Slug, and we WERE in Santa Cruz, after all). Then I started wondering when I saw a bunch of people come in with kids, and thought "oh great, hope these kids are behaved during the show - I want to hear the music". Then the band came out, dressed as mooses and apples, and...yeah. It was a kids band. And I had no kids, and was now trapped in the middle of the seating, surrounded by dancing toddlers. Awkward! I managed to get out within three songs.

I saw Machinehead and who opened for them? No Doubt. Awful. In my defense, I was 11, or 10. I swear I didn't know any better.

  • Great White and White Snake in concert in 1988 at the USF Sun Dome. A sold out show. In the 80s, people had no shame or sense.
