Well, up until a year ago it was always Depeche Mode for me, at the height of the Violator tour. Great songs, great FX, crazy energy...but then we saw Roger Waters/The Wall show, so near the front that I could feel the heat of the pyrotechnics on my face when the aerial prop exploded. The Wall now trumps everything, ever.0

Ive seen all my big-name bucket list artists, but the best show, oddly enough, was a random Psych Furs club show about ten years ago.0

I may be old, but I got to see all the good bands:
Believe it or not, one of the best shows I've seen was Journey in 1979 or 80 with opening act the Babys.
Pat Benatar, tickets were $3.98.
Rolling Stones with opening act Van Halen and Journey.
The Who with openers B-52s and Joan Jett
Festival including Heart and Cheap Trick
The Kinks crushed it in 1980.
J Geils band with *opening act* U2!
These are some of the best I saw, I've seen lots more "only good" shows....0 -
Fleetwood Mac
John Cougar (Mellencamp)0 -

copying my previous posts.sorry, going to copy my reply from the previous thread, but I'd like to add the 999 show at the West Catty Playground and Bauhaus with Daniel Ash.
The 2nd Lollapalooza - Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ministry, Ice Cube, Soundgarden, The Jesus and Mary Chain, Pearl Jam, Lush, Jim Rose Circus, Porno for Pyros, Basehead, Cypress Hill, House of Pain, Seaweed, Boo-Yaa T.R.I.B.E., Stone Temple Pilots, The Vulgar Boatmen, Rage Against the Machine + many more............
1992 in Orlando, FL... during an evacuation of the state for Hurricane Andrew, Eddie Vedder climbing to the top of the scaffolding......and the best part? It was the first time I saw Lush.
* wait! My Bloody Valentine was good too. But maybe I like the CD better? hmmm.....this is hard.
** wait again... I think I liked Tom Verlaine better.0 -
My first concert was STYX. I think I was 12. My mom took me because she didn't have anyone else to go with.
I loved it!
Train is really good live. I've seen them 2x.
Bon Jovi. Amazing!
Skillet. I've seen them 2x.

Most recently..... Jason Mraz/Christina Perri0 -
Best by far, despite the many technical issues...
Live Aid, London July 1985.
Runner ups ?
Roger Waters' 'The Wall' in Berlin, July 1990 was amazing and also had one or two technical issues....
The Pixies and Radiohead at Coachella were awesome and 'The Grey Album', live in a tiny tent was incredible.
Honorable mention though goes to Ben Folds, who was joined by William Shatner and Joe Jackson and for an encore the three of them ran through the entire 'Has Been' Album and Ben Folds played every single instrument on the stage. This was at the small and intimate El Ray Theatre in LA.0
