I just have a question I have that much to lose did your skin adjust to the weight loss. I.m a tad older than you ( a lot older than you) and I.ve been wondering what people use or do about it I know last things would be surgury what did you do if you don't want to say its ok
omgosh, I dont mind saying at all. my skin has not adjusted to the weight , not at all. my arms bother me the most, cause that is what people see. I would SERIOUSLY do the surgery in a heartbeat if I had the money, it is not something that my husband thinks we need to spend that kind of money on, even if we did have it ( which we dont) My girlfriends keep telling me to put a donation cup at work,
regardless, it is a yucky hanging mess under my clothes, I will not sugarcoat it at all, cause too many people do sugarcoat it, I've seen posts all over the place about people asking about loose skin, and most reply " it will bounce back in time" if your lucky it will, but if you lose alot as I have, dont count on it. Count on it NOT, and be happy if it does!
I didnt have surgery to create a rapid weight loss, I followed the program HERE. I workout 5 times a week and have since the begining, weights, and cardio, I drink a gallon of water a day, ALL THOSE THINGS are things that you should do to help your skin bounce back. So I did it all right, why didnt it ? Because it had been stretched out for 20+ years. its not going back without surgery.
and I am 40 years old if anyone was wondering
Hope that wasnt harsh, it wasnt meant to be :flowerforyou:0 -
That's amazing! You look fantastic. You are so beautiful. Love the haircut. And thanks for not sugarcoating ..0

That's really awesome.0 -
I got a new haircut, and lost a few more pounds since the last compare pic, so I thought I would post a new one!
YOU LOOK AMAZING!!! Thanks for the info on your skin. I'm 42 and noticing that even though I'm losing weight very slowly - my skin is not simply bouncing back. At all. I currently find the soft skin on my stomach a happy reminder of how far I've come, but that won't last much longer I fear! My arms are what worry me the most- I keep wondering if compression sleeves might not help?
Thanks for sharing your success!
Any social impacts you'd care to share? Spouse/friends reaction or challenges with your amazing transformation?0 -

I can't... I mean... I just... WOW!!! :looks back a picture: Woooooowowowowow! The first shot looks like your mother!! I hear you one th hanging skin part. I've had two kids, both c-sections. I'm super short so I had nowhere to grow but OUT! They weren't small babies either( 7lbs 4oz and 8lbs 6oz). My lovely little ones have resulted in fistfulls of skin overhang and I imagine as I lose weight it will get worse... But who cares!!! You can cover up hangy skin! You look frigging amazing! Congratulations!0

You look incredible! Great job!!!!!! How long did it take you and can I ask what your starting and goal weights are?
starting weight was 330, I think my goal will be 145, I have 140 on my ticker, but I am at 164 now, and I think anything more than 19 pounds may be too low for my body, so I am going with the 145.0 -

You have done amazing as everyone before has said! And you are an inspiration to all of us I'm sure! I too am older and have been obese most of my adult life. (I'm 55). On the sagging skin...I lost once actually when I was about 40. Maybe 42. And my skin bounced back pretty good for the most part. I believe my tummy area had a bit of trouble. My doctor and I discussed it and he said everyone has different elasticity (sp?) in their skin and some people can gain back a lot more tone than others. He also said what you already touched on...they longer the skin is "stretched" the harder it might be to get back. But my point being don't anyone give up because some people do have great elasticity and do get it back. I think it would take longer than just losing the weight. Anyway, again you look positively beautiful.0

Wow what a beautiful YOU! Congratulations on being successful & taking care of you! I'm glad you did it the healthy way & not the easy way. My old best friend decided to do the gastric bypass surgery against my advice & is now a skinny little thing, yet unhealthy still & eating the same fast food she always did. Since she is a skinny person now, I'm her fat friend, & therefore I don't fit into her life any longer. But there is no loss for me. I'm doing it the healthy way & knowing it is a lifestyle change & not just an easy way out! I'm glad you have done what I've got it in my head that I can do. Thanks for being an inspiration to many!0

What a beautifull woman you have been hiding! :flowerforyou:
Have you tried lymph masage regarding skin? Im doing it myself and it works for me, even on poor tummy (had 4 babies, inc twins, loads of strechmarks, very deep around belly button area, was 49.5 inch in my waist when pg, i wouldnt say im "elastic" person, cause i have strechmarks all over body since teenager). Basic idea is rub gently your skin after shower with soft towel clockwise towards your heart - from legs, arms up, tummy clockwise around etc. http://www.videsvestis.lv/content.asp?ID=83&what=54 Sorry its not in english, but pic will give you basic idea. Thats about woman who teaches others how to do it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X7801iaURlw She is 70 now!0 -
