I think she looked lovely before... now she looks, well, very mucsular I suppose. I guess that's what you were aiming for.0

If you want to look like Yo, you can see her diet, training videos and supplement suggestions at www.team-wild.com ))
Just checked it out and a couple of questions if you have time: How much volume do you guys do on shoulders! Jesus! Whatever happened to the "no more than 18 sets per body part per week?" Is that pure 100% broscience?! This must take, what 90 mins to complete?!
Shoulders
Seated Lateral Raise – 12-15 reps x 4 sets
Standing Lateral Raise 12-15 reps x 4 sets
Incline Front Raise – 12-15 reps x 4 sets
Standing Front Raise – 12-15 reps x 4 sets
BB/DB or Machine Overhead Press – 12-15 reps x 4 sets
Incline DB Front Raise – 12-15 reps x 4 sets
Incline DB Delt Fly – 12-15 reps x 4 sets
Cable Face Pulls – 12-15 reps x 4 sets (depending on time, sometimes less work done)
Low Carbs Day (1,600 / 1,700 calories)
Meal 1: 120g lean steak/fish/venison with 30g nuts
Meat and nut breakfast? Read that on Charles Poliquin's site a while ago. I did it for a while but I found it hard to get carbs in later in the day if I was at uni/work all day. Nick Mitchell and Phil Learney are huges fan of it as well.0 -
She must have been lifting before you started, right?
How big did you keep her daily deficit? Did she zigzag the calories?
Any Cardio? If yes, I suppose some HIIT, right?
She went to the gym on and off like most people do, trying their best and spinning their wheels a lot - not getting far. A typical person who likes to keep fit without training in a way that works her body how it needed it.
As per the thread title, it describes the calories - which were between 300-400 deficit and 300-400 over. 3 days low carb, 1 day high.
Very very little cardio, perhaps a dozen or so times since we started. We keep intending to start her up on it but the body recomp keeps coming so we don't mess with something that is working.I think she looked lovely before... now she looks, well, very mucsular I suppose. I guess that's what you were aiming for.
You have a very misguided placement of opinion on a thread about success of people.
Would you find it acceptable me commenting on your thread saying ANYTHING about your weight other than positive?
Please refrain from posting on our SUCCESS STORIES thread if you feel the need to negative. This like any other thread is to CELEBRATE the weight loss/muscle gain Yo has experienced.0 -

We choose about 4-5, sometimes exercises per day - not all of them. They are listed to give an idea. We spend about an hour or so training.
And yes, meat and nuts for breakfast. Not a lot better way to start the day than eating a rump steak and almonds - delicious!0 -
Yo looks absolutely AMAZING (and so do you for that matter) Wish I was 30 again and looked like that.
You seem like a lovely couple, best of luck to you both

Awesome! I'm making my appointment to go the gym for the first time to meet with a trainer re: lifting heavy so I'm pretty stoked and it's great to see such inspirational photos and progress. I love that you are doing it together. It's fabulous having a supportive partner! :-)0

Thanks man.
Also, just checked your diary (If you don't mind!) and saw that you have myprotein products. How are you finding them? Their customer service has been terrible according to friends - never tried them myself though.0 -
Great to see couples workout together and push each other.
Exactly! Would love to be in a relationship where this was the case!0 -

I'd go with bulk powder every time - MP delivery stock items without problem usually but if it goes wrong... it goes WRONG!!!
As for quality, both companies are the same.Great to see couples workout together and push each other.

We are lovers not rivals so push each to do the best we can possibly do... in a positive manner ))0 -

I cant believe its been only 4 months!! You was one of the first people on here to offer me advice and Iv followed Yo right from the start, amazing transformation!! Its also lovely to now see your personalities coming through too Im very excited for you both and love watching your progress!!
What is the purpose of the carb cycling Matt? With at least 45lbs still to lose, id love to know your advice of reaching that loss?? Just finishing p90x and embarking onto stronglifts 5x5 so new to weights/lifting. My weight hasnt dropped at all for months!!! Have increased my calories to 1600 now and do 2-3 hours cardio a week so im hoping that will help I have however noticed a change in my shape and strength so its not all bad But i dont really want to stay at 204lbs-210lbs!! I know about 7lbs is water retention due to medication i have to take so although im at 210, im more like 203/4 but that cant be helped x0 -
Great Caesar's Ghost! Awesome progress, without fail. You da man.0

AMAZING physique! I used to be very into weight training back home in Australia. I cant wait to get back into it, I want Yo's body! I just want to get the body fat down a bit first and then I'll be on fire. A lot of women are scared of weights, I love em!!
I always admire the hard work and dedication that goes into turning your body into a work of art, which is what she has done!
I cant wait to get there myself!
Tell her she's a machine! Fantastic body!! )0 -

Carb cycling allows one to burn fat and gain muscle slowly. NOT at the same time but some days during the week you will be at a calorie deficit, others you will be ad a calorie suprlus, thus allowing fat burn and muscle gain. Its much slower than atypical dieting methods but if you don't have a huge amount to lose it can really help body re composition.
For you? I'd need to know more but I'd suggest at your weight (don't know your age?) and how busy you may be that 1600 is still perhaps a little too much and altho cardio is fine, maybe see how you do first without as much and incorporating lifting if possible? I'm not saying I'm right and I have the magic bullet but from first appearances.Great Caesar's Ghost! Awesome progress, without fail. You da man.

Get back in the weight room - nothing we enjoy better than the buzz one receives when working out!
I'll let her know but I'm sure she'll pop in later to say hello after her day shift - rather long at 13 hours! :noway:0 -
Wow!!! I really want to start lifting to increase my upper body strength. So, I will be checking out your site. Any advice you guys have for newbies would certainly not fall on deaf ears! I agree that doing it together is soooo great! My bf is very fit and muscular so he inspires me every day. We aren't in competition but encourage each other to be the best we can be! Happy!0

1600 may be too little! Did it read too much?
I meant cardio - use it as a tool when weight loss stops, not before.0 -

I'm in the gym 6 days a week and have really transformed my body. I am hitting that cardio hard. I want to introduce weights again, but I'm still quite heavy. I wanted to hit the 60's before I hit the weights again. I'm 78 at the min (started at 96), hoping to be in the 60's by May and then the real work begins. I love weight training and feeling strong!!
People keep asking me, how much more weight I want to loose and I'm like 'I wont stop until I look good naked and then I still wont stop'!!
You are so good for relpying to every post! )0 -
