CW: 144lbs
1330 net cals per day, work out with cardio and strength training 5 times a week x0 -
I was 5"1' and 179, I have been doing between 1200-1400 calories and work out 4-5 times a week. I have lost approx.49-51 lbs in 2 years. It took time and lots of hard work (spinning, running, biking ect) I feel the best I have in years. Once I hit my goal (about 10 -12 lbs to go) I plan on increasing my calories to about 1500. There were many months that I wouldnt lose much or any at all, then the next month I would lose 5-6. Just be patient. If you need support feel free to friend me.0

5'7" 165 lbs 1550 per day which is about my BMR. I was eating 1200-1350 and plateaued. As soon as I went up to 1550 I started melting again. I am actually thinking I might up it a little bit more to my RMR instead of my BMR. Plateauing at 1200 is indeed scary but I suspect it is the norm. What I did was told myself I was going to do a ONE WEEK EXPERIMENT. If it worked, I would do a one month experiment. You're not going to GAIN by eating 1400 or 1500 for a week, unless you're like 3 feet tall and weigh 75 lbs. or something, so if you're plateaued anyway, give it a shot. The worst that can happen is you're still plateaued.
^^^this exactly is my story! Though I've upped it to 1650... it's about the quality of calories, not the amount. I'm eating clean healthy choices now versus less of the worse foods.0 -
I am 5'8" and 154lbs I eat 1100-1500 calories. This might be helpful : http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm
According to this I should be eating 1000 more.
thanks for the link.0 -
