    I am just blown away by the response on here. First, I can't believe how many other people also have said they have Chiari Malformation. Second, though I posted to hopefully inspire people, I didn't expect this much response :) Thank you all again!

    This was an inspirational story even without the added element of your recent illness! You look amazing and are obviously so much fitter. I am sure that being in such good shape will have helped you cope with the surgery and recover so much quicker. Good luck for the future - I hope you can get back driving and working out again soon.

    A friend of mine has the same thing, Chiari. she found a great doc, and 2 surgeries later she is doing great ,like you. Glad to hear all went well and you are on the mend. Keep on charging!

    My son has a Chiari type 1 Malformation. They discovered his after he got a concussion falling off our couch when he was little. He is now 11 and thankfully still symptom free so the doctors and us have chosen to do nothing about it. Your story helps me to remind him and myself every day that anything is possible!

    Hey, it's a fellow zipperhead! :D I had a decompression done for my Chiari Malformation done a few years ago, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. It's nice to see more of us around. :)
