do you put your hair up when you go to the gym?

Forgot to pack a pony tail holder the other week, it was awful. I kept trying to tie it in a knot or around my bluetooth headband, but it would never stay more than 5 min. I now have an arsenal of them in my gym bag, I'll never forget again!0

I've always done a ponytail. Otherwise it gets in my way0

I'm a bit over gyms atm but I still try and go for a 30 minute walk most days (burning about, oh, 10 calories) and I would never leave my hair down. Sweat ruins a blowdry pretty much instantly and I'm not coordinated enough to repair the damage myself. I'd basically be a mess of frizz every day if I didn't have my hair elastics.0

Yep, in a ponytail all the time. Because of my current job, it has always been up and in a bun. I have no idea what to do with it when I wear it down.
At the gym, in a ponytail and if I can catch my middle child in a good mood, sometimes she braids the ponytail for me.0 -
I try to but it's shoulder length and won't all go back. It is driving me nuts so I'm going to get it all cut off ;-) Well, most of it, anyway.0

Always wear a pony tail while working out. Not only that, but when I get my haircut, I make sure the stylist cuts it in such a way that in spite of any layers, it can go fully up in a pony tail.
I just went to a new stylist and made sure to emphasize that the hair has to go in a ponytail without pieces coming out. I hate using clips on the side. Definitely goes up when I am in the gym. I've done some walks outside with it down, usually on cooler days when there's a nice breeze. I work in a delivery room, so I'm used to the hair up on a regular basis. If I didn't hate my forehead, I'd use a headband for the bangs too.0 -
I used to always put my hair up before a workout, but then I got a mohawk. Now I'm kind of either/or. It still goes down to my butt, however, without hair on the sides, it doesn't seem to flow over my shoulder or get in my way like it used to.0

I always put my hair up, but Sunday I was running late for Zumba and forgot my ponytail holder-boy was that a mistake!!0

I leave it down. It makes it easier when people ask to touch it or smell it.0

Always up in a pony tail. No way I could leave it down.0

Goes up for most stuff. But not for zumba.0

Hair down. Glasses on!0

Not unless I want my hair stuck to my neck & face. Never. IMO, anyone who doesn't isn't there to work out.0

I have short hair and still have to clip the front out of my face or it drives me crazy. I keep it short to make it easier to care for after workouts, honestly.0

my hair is always up at the gym.. i never understand the women who work out with their hair down! well yes actually i do - they are never doing anything that requires them to break a sweat! (at least at my gym)0

I hateeee the feeling of sweaty, sticky hair on the back of my neck! It's a distraction for me, so yeah, my hair is always in a pony tail or a bun0
-
I leave my hair down but I don't have much of a choice because it's a bob cut. Once it grows out though, I will be putting it up again.0
-
Ponytail for me too ! Hair is useless during the gym0
-
I wouldn't be able to see if I left it down.
This is totally what I pictured!
Up in a half pulled through pony bun, personally.0 -
I always have my hair up when I'm working out - I can't stand the feeling of it heavy on my neck when I'm getting sweaty - yuck! I'm in a high ponytail or messy bun every time - it looks dreadful but I don't care, I'm there to work out and get messy not to go to a fashion show (unlike one girl at my gym who reached down off of the bike, took a brush out of her bag and proceeded to brush her hair.... the whole gym watched in astonishment :-))0

You have a butt length mohawk?? Bad *kitten*. Pics or it didn't happen :P0 -
I have really long, thick, wavy hair so would be a nightmare so it's piled on top of my head in a messy bun or pigtails if my hair is wet. :-)0
-
Only when i forget my hair tie =( lol.. :sad:0
-
I left my hair down once. Once. *lol* I don't have long hair so I have to do pig tails or ponytail with bobbypins.0
-
oh god i would die!! there so much of it! always a pony tail0
-
All up, every last bit of it, I have really thick hair and I can't even stand it being in a pony-tail as find it still sticks to my neck. I have it in the most unattractive bun thing, and also kirby-grip back all my fringe as I find even a whisp of hair in my face while I exercise drives me insane!!
If I'm feeling like I want to make an effort then I might put it up in a pleated ponytail but that's few and far between!
I really cannot understand when I see girls with really long, thick hair running on treadmills etc in the gym, that must be horrendous! I even get freaked out with seeing people with floppy fringes exercising!!0 -
It's in the way whether it's up or down. I've been leaving it down, but we've had warm weather lately, so it may be time to put it up.0
-
Yes, I always wear my hair up. my neck is soo much cooler. I also noticed that if I pull my bangs back. I might look like a dork...but I do not seem to sweat as much. just a heads up on that.0
-
My hair is in a ponytail 24/7. I get hot otherwise & hate it. No way on earth I'd have it down at the gym
Same!0 -
Up. I am there to have a serious workout....0
