I like to take a shower daily with a good moisturizer. That's the only cleansing your body needs.

unless your liver and kidneys have stopped working, you don't need one. Save your money.

Cleanse? Eat clean, ton of water daily. Figurative ton, not a literal one.

And as Mokey said, showers are good, too.

What are you trying to cleanse?

Save your money, the most you are going to lose is water weight and your body does a perfect job of cleansing itself.

There is this new cleanse, all the celebs are doing it. It can be hard to do though.

First, you need a big glass
Then you have to fill it to the top with water
The worst part is you need to drink the glass and repeat several times a day.

I like to make green juices and replace a meal with them and then for meals cut out heavy things like dairy and high glycemic foods (ie breads, starches). Lemon water is a good addition too, it alkalizes.

The only people I've heard recommend cleanses are the people selling them.

I just did a colon cleanse (required for some medical tests) and it was quite unpleasant. Just eat more vegetables and fruits if you're doing it for fun.

I have done The Clean Program by Dr. Alejandro Junger. It is all about eating healthy food. I found it jump started my clean eating. I did the book version and made all of my own food. Felt great!

If you want the psychological kick or a little extra water weight reduction, try the O2 four day cleanse. You can find it on the internet for free (I think on the book's webpage) and the only ingredients you buy are foods.

The word "cleanse" has a lot of different meanings. To some people, it just means getting all the preservatives, sugars, etc out of their diet and eating healthier.

Just stay away from any plan that does not allow you to consume at least 1,200 calories a day.

No one sees your colon. It's clean enough.

These are good tips but too much protein and fat can have the opposite effect of a cleanse, they slow digestion. Cleanses should be mostly fruits and vegetables with some meats, grains, nuts and seeds.

I prefer the fasting or water fasting method best. Cheap (no food or water, or water only) and effective. I understand wanting to cleanse even if you don't have major problems. Just the air we breath with pollution is enough to want to detox. Anyway, I do a 24 hour fast (no water or food) every month. And water only for 24 hours once a week. It isn't super intense, but consistently done helps a lot.
  • Okay - best way to flush out your system?
SAUNA and loads of water. Get in there, sweat, drink water, SWEAT, drink water... you get the picture.
Adhere to the guidelines, which is about 15 minutes in and a rest/cold shower/ repeat.

Another great cleanse is the 3 day apple diet.
3 days straight of apples. If you are doing this, don't plan on doing anything strenuous and take it easy.
The apple works on clearing the digestive tract, which is usually full of metals and other substances from our foods.

    Hope this helps.

What exactly are you trying to cleanse?
skin cells for one. I love the glowing skin I get from cleanses. Basically the whole body. Give the liver less to handle. Have you ever tried a cleanse?

I've already had about 15 apples today, lol. Not that I just eat apples.

Exfoliation helps to shed skin cells. Have you ever tried a loofah?
