    Affording new clothes
Bra shopping sucks at any size, so having to go because I lost weight doesn't make it any better
    Stupid comments/questions about: my food choices; how I'm doing it (then arguing or telling me what it's "like" that failed for them); how I need to eat more;
    Saboteurs.

I agree with how "awful" it is to be stuck between sizes. I'm like that right now with my workout tees. The XXL's are too big/baggy and getting in the way but the XL's are a tad snug.

I'm not looking forward to buying the next round of clothes. I'm not opposed to shopping at GoodWill but it's just so much easier when you can walk into a store, see something on display and pick your size and color verses looking through rack after rack. I was lucky in that my mom gave me a lot of her too small stuff and we have close enough tastes that I will wear most of it. I did add 3 new shirts (all on sale) a couple weeks ago as a reward for the progress I made - and to add to the very red/pink/white color palate my mom leans towards.

The Sag & not knowing if that last 10lbs is really that last 10lbs.
The "you don't need to lose any more weight" comments.

90% of the clothes I own are either too snug or too loose.
I started almost exclusively shopping at thrift stores after the first 40lbs because it just got too expensive.
Even when I shop at real stores finding clothes that fit nice is hard.

    My extremities are always cold.

Oh, and I can't drink for sheet.
    I'm a lightweight now. LOL!

What am I doing about this?
Keep lifting & dropping BF% so my skin has a chance to tighten up. (hopefully)
Tell people "sorry, I was thinking about the 6-pack i'll have this summer. ;)"

I shop at thrift stores & i'm learning to tailor my own shirts & hem jeans. Gives me more options when shopping at thrift stores.

I really can't do much about the cold & this summer I plan to work on my tolerance. :)
  • First, I have complete respect for those of us who take the time and energy to lose weight and staying fit. I'm almost 40 and got tired of my "boobs". :) I want them gone completely. I personally and I think most guys are the same. Although boobs are great and all that, asthetics are so much more. I'd rather have a hottie with tiny boobs then someone overweight and unable to keep up with me. I know from a female perspective it is important.

On the thread I read alot about people hating on the diet. It's true changing the way you eat is a PIA. I've been doing a Keto diet for some time now and I find it to be completely awesome. I feel great, have more energy than before, feel stronger and the weight it dropping off.

If you do not know or are interested let me know and I'll share my basic diet.

I read someones eating mushed Caulifower as husband eats Pizza. I live that to. My kids and wife eat pizza and I won't. But honestly I don't want it, I don't crave it. My alternative to Pizza? Tomatoe Basil Mozeralla Cheese sticks in a pan, fried with some pepperoni. It's almost just like pizza with no carbs.

Life is good living low carb. Give it a try. I do less than 30g of carbs a day and it's awesome.

I'm already very blessed in teh boob area, and kinda of slacking in the butt area. My boobs aren't shrinking (thankfully!!) but my butt is so all my pants have saggy butts!!

To all the ladies who are lamenting the loss of their breasts: I highly recommend getting a professional bra fitting with a specialist. Nordstroms has good ones as does My Intimacy... a good bra can make the ladies look amazing no matter the size!

    my sternum sticks out
my butt-bone makes it uncomfortable to sit on hard surfaces
    my rings all fall off
    excess baby-tummy skin
    elephant butt syndrome

and yes, being cold and having sad little raisin boobs

Except my boobs were never anything to write home about - all the other things for sure.

    only 3 things for me
    1. always cold
    2. everyone asking how I did it and being worried that I'm going to cause my MS to relapse. I want to say relax people! I'm not worried about it so why are you? It makes me feel like I have to defend my choice to be healthier.
    3. and the know it all's who feel the need to point out the failure rate for those who lost weight and put it all back on PLUS a few extra pounds. OMG shut up know it all's!! Just let me be happy for goodness sakes! Don't suck the joy out of my healthy choice mojo!

It's all about the HUNT for me.
Every week I make my rounds at the thrift stores looking for the new/almost new high quality clothes you find in the more affluent locations.
  • Why so skinny? To much cardio not enough weights?

the biggest thing I hate is my neck I'm getting a gobbler  But, I'd rather have that than the 62lbs I've lost.
I hate my arms too because I can't seem to get them to go down in size much!
  • only one.,....

I pray every night my boobs won't go away....but I'm afraid the truth is that some boobage will be lost :(

The positives definitely outweigh the negatives, but.. that doesn't meant these things don't annoy me right now:

    - Being in between sizes. It seems like I have this problem a lot - making it very hard to find clothes that actually fit good. This also makes it harder to enjoy being the size I currently am, because clothes still aren't fitting right!

    - Lost 40 lbs since last March, so NONE of my clothes from last winter fit me this winter - I had to buy new stuff, with limited money, so I basically wore the same 5 sweaters and jeans all winter. I didn't want to buy too much, because I'm only halfway to my goal weight. I currently have NO clothes from last Spring and summer that I can wear this year - so again, I have to buy new stuff, but not too much, becuase none of it will fit me next year.

I just can't wait until I'm at goal and I can buy an entire new warddrobe. Then my only problem will be finding the money for it! Better start saving now!

Here's mine- people telling me that I "don't need to lose any more weight."

They don't know my body, I do!

I know that I was a knockout at a solid, awesomely toned 135-138lbs, and I want that back! Right now I'm at 147. Just because I don't have a lot to lose doesn't make my goals frivolous or less important.

Rant completed, and thank you for the thread :-)

    ^^ THIS!

Or... I'm at my goal weight, but still want to improve (lose body fat %, gain muscle...etc.) and everyone assumes that I go to the gym and eat healthy because I'm still trying to lose more weight.

NEWSFLASH! I'm trying to KEEP IT OFF!

SO soo soooo true! Best thing I ever did was get fitted for a good bra. Also the shape and style makes a big difference. My girls have never looked so good!

Oh, and drinking so much water you pee once an hour. That sucks.

This. Ladies bathroom is upstairs from me. Yes, I get a little extra movement having to go every hour....but damnit, my leg and butt muscles want a break!!!!

The clothes shopping dilema- although I wear things till I am swimming in them because it feels so damn good to be swimming in them.
The boob thing is kind of weird- I had a breast reduction after I was done having babes and that gave me a bit of a lift without any enhancement, so now that they are shrinking even still- I am a little worried they might totally disappear. A really bizarre twist of fate going from a 36DD to ????
*but hear me now- it all worth it.

I could eat whatever I wanted pre-pregnancy and still have a flat stomach. Now, I have to eat much healthier to get those abs back. Mehhh.... Not cool, but I'm kind of glad I'm doing this. My metabolism will slow down one day so I better get used to it. I feel healthier eating better now. So, there are positives and negatives. I really want to buy new clothes, but I haven't hit my goal yet so I can't which makes me overly anxious to hit my goal.
  • YES! to all of the above but ,my once smooth round belly now looks like I just had a baby! and the inner top bit of thigh looks blurgh too. Euww
Everytime I get out the shower I cringe at my naked form
btw my baby is 25 now!

I second being cold. I have adapted a bit better to it now, but it takes me forever to warm up if I get really cold.

Sometimes it sucks having to pay attention to everything I eat, or managing macros. But, I step away to clear my head and say I'm going to take a break but I just keep on coming back. LOL.

I want to show everyone I know my bicep/tricep definition, generally not a welcomed activity, it would seem that is the same as bragging/showing off.

boobs. just boobs. they shrink along with everything else haha

    1. Everyone wants to know what you're doing to lose the weight so you end up talking about nothing but weight loss, mostly with people lamenting that they just can't do it.
    2. People not understanding what a lifestyle change it is.

Yard sale season is coming so that's a great way to find some new clothes for very little cost, then you can turn around and sell them at your own yard sale at the end of the summer.

Those of you that are always cold - have you had your iron checked? I've lost almost 40 pounds and live in Colorado and haven't noticed being any colder than usual. I think anemia can cause you to feel cold.

    1. Def. the clothes thing. I hardly have any clothes that fit right, but my smaller clothes are still to small. And I cannot afford to buy new clothes right now, especially if they wont fit in 2 months. So I just wear baggy clothes. At least they are comfy:)

    2. I have no idea how to take compliments, they make me feel weird.

    3. My boobs are not keeping up with the rest of my weight loss, so I look out of proportion. So they look bigger even though I have lost a little bit of them.

    4. Def. going to the bathroom every hour.

    5. Obsessiving over every calorie and getting to my goal weight.

    6. Edit: My mother in law telling me (in a condescending voice) that I will have to keep up what I am doing if I want to keep the weight off. She told me she had a friend who lost 75 lbs (twice) and gained it back both times. So I just need to be aware of that. (Me: Rolling eyes).

    smaller boobs :(
    being cold
have to pee every 20 minutes.

Yes, the boobs. At this rate I can probably get by with wearing band aids instead of bra's. But the belly is still there, go figure.
    Always cold.
Not enough padding on my thighs to for my grand daughter to climb up on my lap. I have to now place her there carefully.
All of my in between clothes are way out of style now since it has been years since I was less than 140.
