    My son has a Chiari type 1 Malformation. They discovered his after he got a concussion falling off our couch when he was little. He is now 11 and thankfully still symptom free so the doctors and us have chosen to do nothing about it. Your story helps me to remind him and myself every day that anything is possible!

    Hey, it's a fellow zipperhead! :D I had a decompression done for my Chiari Malformation done a few years ago, and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. It's nice to see more of us around. :)

    I had my decompression surgery 10 weeks ago today. I have gained 15 lbs since surgery! Trying hard to get it to come off. I was already up about 10 lbs before surgery.

    This the first post i've read on this site (i'm new!) , and it is sooo inspring! It reminds me that when it'll start to get harder, when I transfer to university from a junior college in Fall 2013, to keep at it and not let anything keep me down! I hope you have a fast recovery :)
