I was in the '89 Loma Prieta earthquake (lived in San Francisco)

I was in the '94 Northridge earthquake (lived 5 miles from Northridge)

I've been in 8 car accidents; was always a passenger not the driver

I've broken almost every bone in my body

I've "died" twice. 1st time at age 18 months from viral spinal menegitis, 2nd time from untreated mastoiditis

I think I'm lucky to be alive.

Wow, I think you are very lucky too. Not so much luck I think but divine intervention. ????

I have a cactus growing in my lung....they say that it wont start sprouting till I am in my 80s. What I think about is them grave robberrs 100+ years down the road who only find a huge casket full of nothing but cacti!

-I have an EXTREME fear of death and hyperventilate when I think about it.
-I like to eat chalk. Haven't in quite some time, but used to eat it fairly often... same with dried mud.
-Also can pick up lots of things with my feet.
-I am double jointed and can bend my fingers & toes all the way back.

I count pretty much everything but specifically words and letters.
So for example, if someone sends me a birthday card I will count every word and letter in it as I'm reading it and I can do it super fast.

There are certain numbers I don't like and if everything adds up to one of those numbers, I get pretty annoyed.

I also have to add up ANY numbers I see ANYWHERE, number plates when I'm driving, prices in the supermarket, all the numbers of credit card details I'm given at work, the list goes on.

If an ad comes on the TV with a phone number and it changes before I'm done adding up, it really p's me off

OMG, me too! Do you prefer it to add up even or odd? I prefer odd for some reason. Oh, and I do this with letters, number, those little dots on the road...everything.

I don't know about the chosen one....but glad that I haven't been done in yet.

When I do my walking outside, after 20 min my legs get itchy. This doesn't happen on the treadmill, maybe because of temperature change or something? Anyway I hate it and think it is weird and it makes my walks outdoors uncomfortable and not much fun. Anyone else share this weird condition?

I have this, especially worse when I come in from the cold and start to warm up. causes itching like crazy. Search Physical urticaria. See if it might give you answers.:)
Its not as extreme as my dermogrphism. Im literally allergic to touch, pressure. Scratching at an itch can cause my body to be covered in hives and welts. Its cause is unknown, and may magically disappear tomorrow or last a lifetime. For now I'm on allergy meds everyday.

Certain words spoken (or written) will cause me different degrees of pain in my ears. My kids love saying them to torture me.

I can see in a room with no light. My SO says im a bat

If im chopping, sweeping, chewing, going up/down stairs ect. I count,
Example: chopping up and apples and having them have the same amount of slices each makes me happy. Starting stairs with my right and ending on my right makes me happy.
Doing an exercise video and they don't have the same number of reps per side, I get royally pissed.

I cannot stand the thought/sound of 2 nail files rubbing together.

I can not wear turtle necks or chokers, tight scarf... I gag

Biting/touching my knees (or pretending too) will result in me punching you. I give fair warning before hand.

Im sure there's more but that's all that comes to mind lol

I'm horribly afraid of dinosaurs. I've never seen Jurassic Park, and the one time I tried to watch Land Before Time I went bat %#!%, had a panic attack and night terrors for months.

I'm also deathly allergic to cashews.

When people tell me I'm weird, I take it as a compliment.
  • I have an unhealthy preoccupation with tragic freak accidents and often fantasize about myself or loved ones dying or being horribly disfigured in them.

    me too :/

I often imagine what it feels like to die....in all sorts of horrible ways!

I'm addicted to watching Discovery ID, which I now refer to as the murder channel. I have no idea why violent crime fascinates me, as I am more of a lover than a fighter. The fact that I watch it a lot makes my hubby very uneasy though!! BWAAAAAHAHAHA!! lol

    I haven't had T.V. access in 15 years

I'm left handed/write with my left hand--but golf, bowl, shoot, do most sports with my right hand

When I see people's name or store/truck signs...I spelled them backwards to see what they say

I love God with ALL of my mind, heart, soul and strength and love my neighbor as I do myself (at least I purposely try to daily)

I LOVE seeing people (like cashiers, waiters/servers, or people I'm interacting with in business) when I see them looking sad or mad or troubled....I LOVE to say "how ya doing happy" or smile at them and ask them how they are doing and feeling today? I LOVE the reaction, it's instant smiles and I see whatever was/is troubling them absolutely disappear and replaced by smiles, and a brighter even taller stance--LOVE that!

I totally embrace being strange and wouldn't want to live life any other way...I'm so anti-follow the crowd/with the majority--I love being the "odd ball":smooched:

-I cannot stand when someone stands behind me. It gives me this weird tingling feeling in my back!

Really odd, but I cannot stand water dripping off the shampo bottle into the shampoo I pour in my hand. I have to "dry off" the bottle before I pour it out. Totally stupid and I have NO idea why I do it.

Just posted a quick one that came to mind in a rush, but here are a few more:

-I have and enjoy having something called ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response, here's an article http://www.vice.com/read/asmr-the-good-feeling-no-one-can-explain).
Basically what it does is makes my head/neck/back and sometimes arms have these really pleasant tingles. It's brought on by "triggers" that vary greatly, but my personal favorites are soft speaking/whispering, light tapping/scratching (you will almost always see me tapping something), personal attention, i.e. when someone is close and explaining something like a teacher would, or getting a haircut, anything that causes people to be close, when someone lightly plays with my hair, crinkling sounds (another thing I'm always doing when I have a crinkly bag!). There are quite a few other triggers as well. There are all sorts of YouTube videos for it as well :)

-I have a really irrational fear of bees. Wasps/other stinging insects I can deal with okay, but bees really get me. If there is a bee in the car, you better pull over because I will most definitely have a panic attack until it's out. Though it's unlikely it would be there, because no matter if it's dead winter, I always check the car for bees.

-I've been diagnosed with OCD. It's nothing weird but most people don't have it, I guess. So there's that.

-I can't just have one hand wet. If one hand gets wet somehow, I have to wet the other one. I also can't stand it when the back of my hand or palm is wet, but in between my fingers is dry. I have to wet it so that they're soaked so I can dry them.

-I, too, am a righty that shoots with her left hand. I also use my left hand for a lot of things most right handed people don't like opening doors, playing with my phone, wiping (TMI! lol) etc.

-Back in 2006, my grandpa visited me in the form of a happy little green orb a few days after he died. My grandmother and mom also saw him. I haven't seen him since :(

I can't stick the tip of my tongue out because my frenulum attaches on the entire length...so technically i'm "tongue tied" but I never developed a lisp! A speech therapist was even curious how I never developed one....i speak normally...

My fiance has a tongue tie, and though he did go to years of speech therapy, he never had a lisp. He just mispronounced words for some reason.

I get sick touching dead bugs. Like, I felt something on my leg a couple weeks ago, scratched it, then discovered it was a bug that I had killed on my leg. I ran into the bathroom and threw up. I couldn't even talk about it for several hours without throwing up!

I broke my arm when I was three by jumping off the top of a pop-up trailer with my cousin. Now I'm so afraid of heights that not only have I gotten stuck in a tree, but I can't even stand on something that's an inch high without thinking I'm going to die. This has caused me to almost get fired from a couple jobs because I couldn't handle going up ladders to get things...

My chronic knee condition causes me to be able to move my kneecaps around. I think it's awesome, but it freaks people out

^ This would make me throw up. Seriously. I can't stand for anyone to touch or even look at my knees - and I hate anything to do with knees. My husband had surgery on one of his knees and I couldn't look at it or think about it or I would gag.

ETA: Just typing this post about knees gave me chills and I almost threw up in my mouth a little.

I am scared I might see a ghost. I wont walk around my house alone at night because I'm scared I will see one, seriously if I wake up in the middle of the night I make my husband get up with me.. Weird huh? I also read tarot ( not something most people would think when they see me)

I read Tarot as well! I also have a sixth sense, although I don't see things, I physically feel them. For example, when someone close to me is nervous, my teeth start chattering.

I'm the only 30-something Canadian woman I know who is obsessed with Korean pop music. I can also recite/write the Korean alphabet.

    Meet me....

    I speak Korean.
