Happy for the rest day, did lots of gardening yesterday and the hamstrings aren't happy with me.0

Day 1 - 50 squats - Started on 4/3/13 so I only did 30 on my first day since I started late on this.
Day 2 - 55 squats -
Day 3- 60 squats- Done-I actually did 100 not 60 today on 4/4/13, I started late on this so I am behind some.
Day 4 - REST
Day 5 - 70 squats Done-I did 100 today in 2 sets of 50! Still able to walk!
Day 6 - 75 squats Done-I did 100 today in 2 sets of 50!
Day 7 - 80 squats Oops forgot but worked in yard for a couple hours bagging leaves so sort squats!
Day 8 - REST Since I missed Sunday I did 100 today in 2 sets of 50 to make up for Sunday!

Has anyone incorporated weights, nothing major ... like a 5, 8 or maybe 10lb? If I used say, the smith machine at the gym - I'd do 50 squats with 100lbs in 5 sets of 10. I like this challenge for the consistency aspect but it seems it becomes more challenging / difficult by simply adding more and more (and more) squats - not necessarily by making them harder.
Its like walking but as the days go by and your body adjusts you decide to walk further but why not increase speed or add incline?0 -

I wear wrist and ankle weights while doing squats and push-ups. For a total of 12 pounds between the four.0 -
