Hey Everyone,

I'm really curious what's on everyone's top 3 most used foods on MFPal. Perhaps add a little something why you love these so much.

Mine are:

1. Strawberries - These are my go to fruits. Tasty, Low Cal, and when you have a light meal and don't want to be hungry in an hour or so, pop in about 6 of them with your meal and they will hold you up quite well. I keep a large pack at work and at home. I definitely don't want to get caught without them when hunger strikes before a meal. 6 calories per strawberry

2. Mushrooms - I have these in my omelets just about every day, and also eat them in salads and sauteed them with any good steak. 5 calories per mushroom.

3. Asparagus - These also go great in omelets, and serve as the perfect low cal side dish when having any kind of meats. I keep some in the fridge ready to go whenever I need a low cal snack. 3 calories per asparagus.

if you can't remember where to find your list, click on add food, select all foods then see which 3 foods you use the most.

    1) TJ Shredded Wheat Mini's - I take them to work for breakfast and eat them plain. Lots of fiber and I like the "snacking feel"

    2) Raw Carrots - I have them 5 days a week at work. I love carrots. I need the chewy high volume foods

    3) Steamed vegetables - I have steamed vegetables for dinner about 5 times a week.

Pretty dull, but it makes me happy.

    Coffee, String Cheese, Avocado.

Which is weird because I eat avocado 3x a week and eat an egg every single day.

your right, something seems funny to me too

I eat chicken and beef all the time and can't really find it on my list of most used foods.
upon inspection, that list seems to contain mainly condiments and spices like mayo, a1 sauce, hot sauce, minced garlic, pepper, tortillas, bread, lettuce, fruits and veggies. seems odd i guess.

when i check for most used items for dinner only, my top 3 are:
    1.asparagus
    2. avocados
    3. chicken

    I love that!

you should really try to make a jammin dish with only those 3 ingredients, you're so lucky the butter is in there.
my top 3 all meshed-up might be kinda gross (strawberries, asparagus & mushrooms)

Sabra - Roasted Garlic Hummus - I've been on a months long hummus crave and this is my go-to condiment AND snack. I use it in place of mayo and occasionally just eat it by the spoonful

Ppc - Chicken Pad Thai - yeah, I've been eating out a skosh too much, and leftovers just increase the 'use'.

Nabisco - Triscuit - Roasted Garlic -What I put the hummus on.

Mine is eggs, zucchini and tomatoes.

I have a poached egg every day for breakfast because I like them and they keep me going for hours.
I grow zucchini over summer so have a lot to get through!
What salad is complete without tomatoes!!

Not a bad top 3 to have I reckon

    Top three items:

    1. 40% HEAVY CREAM, the real stuff. I put 1/3 cup in my coffee every morning. It hasn't hurt me one bit. And it is a morning ritual.

    2. Fage plain low fat 1% Greek yogurt.

    3. Unsweetened almond milk. I make my own and it is heaven.

Wow! I love food. Good healthy, wholesome food!

    1) Milk

    2) Multivitamin

    3) Coffee

Multivitamin overtook the coffee cause I went without last month.

Milk wins because I put it in my coffee and eat it in cereal.

None of that is actual food so next:

    4) Eggs - Mmm... breakfast when I'm not eating cereal or leftovers.

    5) Onions - About the only thing they don't go in or on is ice cream.

    6) Carrots - Are cheap, crunchy, sweet and take a long time to eat (and need next to no prep).
