The official beachbody sucks thread

I love how some beachbody coaches rage against capitalism and the horrors of food and drug companies while selling shakes. It makes perfect sense, ya know?0

Learn how to spell before posting a hater thread, will ya?
You hate them so much that you're wasting your time creating a thread about them, but I'm sure the CEO of Beachbody is NOT thinking about you right now! lol
Find a better way to spend your time, will ya?

I have loved every beachbody program that I've done, but I haven't given a penny to the company. Hooray for pirate bay.
Same here. I've done Insanity and Brazil Butt Lift.0 -
In. I mean.....I'm um, I'm with jof...

I totally agree with not giving them your money and I don't buy silly shakes, i dont follow the nutritional guide and dont care about winning a t shirt. However what is wrong with a program that is getting people up and moving and they can do it in the comfort of their own home?
I wasn't getting my money's worth out of the gym....i can do my DVD in the morning before work..I find shawn t mildly annoying but I like the moves....I sweat my *kitten* off and I am stronger and slimmer then I have been in awhile. I got the DVD for 10 dollars used and have been more then happy.0 -
I could get a couple of personal trainer sessions for their prices... j/s
Does beach body seem like the pyramid scheme of the fitness world to anyone else?
My sister in law was briefly a coach I think..
she was obsessed, cleansed spent boocoos of money on their products... last time I was at her house I noticed some normal protein powder in the place of her shakeology... I looked at it when I was looking to supplement initially, but I couldn't justify the cost. I feel the same way about the dvds.
I'm not a hater though, if it works for you, do it! I've got pals who like their programs, I just can't justify the cost..0 -
I don't think there is anything wrong with a hater thread; hell they are all over the place on this site. To each their own, right?
I'll admit, I've contemplated on this whole Beachbody thing since a friend is a "coach" but I really don't see the value? I mean I guess anyone can be a "coach" especially if you are pushy with the sales. My "coach" doesn't push anything, just answers my questions. He posts every minute of every day in his private FB group to "get after it" and welcoming new members. Everyone seems to post food pics, workout pics and well the same kind of jibberish we all do on here. He's passionate about it and if he can get new members in and encourage them, then what's wrong with that?
I do agree with the OP that the cost of the videos and Shakeology are way too expensive. I have been looking into Ultimate Reset but cannot bring myself to pay that much money. I am pretty old-fashioned; I believe diet/nutrition and a decent exercise program you can create all on your own works. I have seen so many success stories on here following this same old-fashioned anthem without having to fall in to gimmicks and overpriced fixes.0 -
Its working for me, to each their own! As another poster said, it gets people motivated and moving so that's the main thing.0

I'll take 30 Day Shred for 7.00 any day of the week! lol0

Ok, has no one else noticed that the OP has an 'online fitness coaching business' and Jules is his wife, trying to help him get business on here by starting a BB bashing thread?0

Ok, has no one else noticed that the OP has an 'online fitness coaching business' and Jules is his girlfriend, trying to help him get business on here by starting a BB bashing thread?
Girlfriend? You mean wife, right?
But who is Jules? (I mean, I found her on his FL after your post, but what's her significance to your post? I'd never heard of her.)0 -

I noticed that as well. Which is why I was not making any comments Like others have said, to each his or her own.0 -
You can do Beachbody/p90x consistently for 90 days and see some results.
You can also train consistently for 90 days with proper diet for 90 days.
The difference? The latter is free and yield greater result.0 -
I'm not a fan of beachbody but it's pretty sad when you have to slam another system just to promote your own online business. Grow some and stand on your own. If your system works, then promote it without badmouthing others.0

But who is Jules? (I mean, I found her on his FL after your post, but what's her significance to your post? I'd never heard of her.)
She posted on page 1, a few posts down from the OP, bashing the BB program and saying her guy's plan worked better. I saw she was his wife and partner in their business after I checked out her profile. Jules was the profile name.
I mean if you want to advertise your online coaching business, go ahead, but don't start a thread bashing another product to do it.
BTW, I have no interest in BB stuff either. To each their own. Do what works for you.0 -
I have a beached whale body. Does that count?
*high five*0 -
OMG Scandal!
Wait til the Coaches show up. Shts about to pop off!

It's against forum rules to advertise so no, not ok and yes I know a BB coach on here that was a "friend" and tried to sell me Shakeology which is why she is no longer a friend. If I want to buy something I will go search for it myself.0 -
This thread is sure to bring a wide range of emotion

Great catch Debbie. I completely agree with you that this is shady business practice. The OP signed up on MFP 2 years ago but just started posted two weeks ago and his first thread was this fishing expedition.

I wonder if his recent decision to become more active on the boards has something to do with starting a new career as a PT?0 -

Ah. Duh. Yeah, I missed her on page one.
Dang it. I was all in favor of this thread (or at least the general idea behind it...but probably for petty vindictive reasons since my first strike ever on MFP was for a post I made on a BBV thread), but this little revelation takes a lot of the fun out of it.0 -
I did lose quite a bit of weight doing insanity, granted it's just boring and unsustainable for me... However P90x is terrible and I HATE Tony with a fiery passion of the sun0

Yup. Both of their profile pages are full of advertisements and promotions about the OP's online training biz which would be in competition with BB.0 -

I love the BB programs I have played with, but I highly doubt that Shakeology is half as nutritious as my morning smoothie, or my post workout shake...0

I don't mind talking the stuff down when someone tries to promote it, but starting a thread to bash something is pretty sucky.
Now that we know the OP's motivation, I guess that explains a lot.0
