this is quite interesting arn't zaug pants meant to work on the same principle of creating more heat in an area especially with excercise which is meant to give you better results ?? So actually may not be just a myth lol
"Creating Heat" doesn't burn fat....a caloric deficit does. Otherwise I'd just aim my hair dryer at any fat I want gone.....

I know that plastering yourself with Preparation H and then wrapping yourself in saran wrap overnight WILL definitely take off inches. But it'll be back within an hour or so after removing the wrap. It's a common trick that recruiters use to make sure recruits meet body standards before enlisting in the armed forces.
If you're just going to the beach for a day, and want to look nice, I notice that on days when I drink nothing but water, my tummy is noticeably flatter than when I drink cokes or any other sweetened drink. Hope this helps!
If I saw a recruiter doing that I would report them on the spot. The goes completely against the core values.0 -
Each time I work out I use a thermal waist belt, it works better than the cling wrap b/c it even has a Velcro that adjust every time you use it. Regardless of all the negative feedback on here if you use it each and every time you work out you will see results!!! it helps you sweat in that area a lot and my waist has gone down substantially in a month of using it Ive gone down 6 inches. Drink lots of water b/c it will make you sweat much more when you work out. Also if you want your belly to go down you have to really work on eating at least 3-4 hours b4 bed time, eating less carbs (wheat bread, oatmeals) and no fruits b4 bed time. Ive lost a lot of weight doing this. Hope it helps!!0

Just to let those know who think heat doesn't burn fat really need to read up on what a calorie is. It's a measurement of heat. As most have said the wrap is only a temp fix. I do this for 3 days prior to my AF fitness test and have always gotten at least an inch to and inch and a half from it. It is uncomfortable but for me well worth maxing out on those points.0

I know a few boxers who put on albolene and wrap in plastic to cut water weight for a fight.

apparently theres even a website for it? LOL
In any case, no actual fat loss; just water loss. I guess it could come in handy if you need to fit into a dress for a special occasion or something; but you wont be getting long term results!0 -

Following this "logic", trapping body heat with a wrap would store calories. Which would make you fatter right?
If you just want to lose water weight, hang out in a sauna.0 -
The zombies are at it again. DAMN you zombies!!!0

I'm not a zombie expert, but putting aluminum foil on your head keeps aliens from reading your thoughts. Just sayin' :laugh:0 -
Yes it does only for a very short period. My friend was worried about her PT test, her waist was still under the fail rate... but since she was cutting it close she used cling wrap and Prep H over night and she was close to 2 inches smaller around her waist.. So like others said that have "actually" tried this.... its only temporary. Your body will continue to store water and everybody has water weight.0
