Well... I am married.... but if I were to have to get back into the dating scene.... If you are rude to others or have to special order things off of a menu because you have made up allerges... mostly just want others to serve you... self confidence is a must... if you worry about what everyone else thinks about you..its not healthy...ohhhh there are so many things I think I would become a hermit...(not like the one in the news right now though)..0
-
If he's an egomaniac. Confidence is sexy, acting like you're doing me a favor by taking me out....not so much. Also, contradictory to my first fault, if he's too stiff or nice. I need a little bit of a challenge.
Hence why I'm having so much trouble finding that guy in between the two..:grumble:0 -
rude to people, pushy, trying too hard, too controling, too everything, or body odor (gag)...or no spark Usually though I won't give them the first date if there is no spark.0
-
If they discuss their opinions on things.
If they tell me how something makes them feel.0 -
She has to have a penis bigger than mine...
So smaller than yours it's ok??? LMAO0 -
Bad manners, full winded about themselves all night, divulge too many issues the first meeting, catching them in a lie early on, bad-mouthing exes/friends/family, bad breath, racism, drug use, too sexual or pushy, no job....I think I have a few, lol. Thank God I'm married!0

She has to be down to earth. Open to try and do new things. Politically I do not mind if your leanings are different than my own, I just would not date someone that blindly believes the party to which they lean towards. One of the most important, lacks intelligence and conversational skills.0

if they scratch their back under their shirt with a fork, then proceed to eat their meal with said fork. true story. ugh.
Ha!
Nice... :noway:
yup, sexy. then wondered how I could resist his charms and not make out with him after the meal. he's lucky I sat through the meal after that lol
Well, did he pay?
That's another thread...0 -
If you don't have a sense of humor, or you talk about yourself the entire time.
Dating is about getting to know each other, not worshipping yourself.0 -
Too much make-up, perfect hair, and a lot of attention spent on nails.
These are not compatible with hiking and kayaking.0 -
or if you talk about yourself in the third person...bwahahahahah0

I've been married for 21 years and dating was a little different back then.
However, there are a couple of things that would be a deal breaker if I was dating now.
-If you pull out your cell phone and text your friends an update on the date, there won't be a second date.
-If you constantly talk about an ex, see ya'.
-Smoker. No thank you.
-Argumentative.
Can't think of anything else right now. I would just want someone that was honest, straight forward and funny. Knows when to speak up and when to defer.
Everyone has beauty of some kind. I like a woman who knows where her beauty lies and is confident, but not self-centered.
On a first date, especially with someone I met online, there is always a phone call or text to check on my well being no later than about 30 minutes into the date....safety. Most of the guys have understood this and even joked about it when it happens.0 -
Its hard to say, I'm pretty desperate. :ohwell:0

If they keep checking there phone while on the first date.
If they have more than $10,000 worth of debt.
If there teeth are yellow or crooked.
If they don't have a career or at least working towards it currently.
If they have more guy friends than female friends.
If you are crazy, clinging or have an arrest record.0 -
- If they are rude to waitstaff.
- If they do not have a sense of humor.
- If they talk about an ex.
- If he refers to his pets as "kids".0 -
talks only about themselves. and doesn't think to listen to a single word i have to say.
if he seems full of himself.0 -

How do you find this stuff out on a first date? Clearly my conversation over coffee isn't nearly in depth enough.0 -

That's what I was thinking! If you hired a Private Investigator to check me out after the first date, you won't be getting a second one anyway!0 -
I know you want to get laid, but if you try on the first date, you'll never get a second date. If we go to a restaurant and you complain about the food or have it taken back, that will probably be it. There are exceptions, but not many because I don't want to date someone who is never satisfied and a first date is all about first impressions. Being rude to anyone (especially someone who is working) will be the end of us as well. Lastly, if you've made up your mind that you don't want kids. If you already have kids and don't want more, that's fine (as long as you're a good dad who is present in their lives), but if you don't want kids at all we have a problem.0
-
if you are aggressive, either physically or verbally, if you complain about your ex or paying child support, if drinking too much is obviously a pattern (especially if you have no license because of DUI), if you use hard drugs, if you stare at every woman who walks by (or any woman, for that matter.), if you have bad teeth or poor hygeine. if you are disrespectful of me or the waitstaff.
i'd say if you were vegan, but i'm kind of dating one.
i guess that's it.0 -
if he is too pushy with physical things when his gestures are obviously unwanted...i once had a guy who tried to kiss me at the end of our first date and i just wasnt feeling him so i turned my cheek...well then he grabbed my face, turned my head and kissed me anyway. it was nasty and i literally wanted scrub my lips with bleach after that
Wow...:noway:0 -

that's exactly what I thought.... plus if I have a guy asking for my financial status... I would be like.... eeeeeehhhhh I just met you... it isn't on your business how much money I have in the bank... are you looking for a girlfriend or a sugar mama????0 -
If he doesn't smell good on the first date, I'm probably not going to be too interested in a second.0

Doesn't #2 depend? Say you meet a dentist, a doctor, a business professional, a lawyer. Chances are they will have more than $10k in debt, more than likely in a form of education loans. If they keep checking there phone while on the first date.

what a person has to do to don't get a second date with you????
to me.... If the person is a smoker I wont date him again... (and of course... If I know before we date that he smokes, he wont even get a first date with me)
Years ago during my youth: I wouldn't date any man who'd dated and was intimate with a relative or a friend and even those within my social network circle ~ just a taboo, for we're too interlocked.
Since then within my years as a mature woman: It depends. Sometimes the guy comes on too strong too soon with too much ~ no 2nd date. If he interprets dinner conversation to resemble nothing short of what I see as impolite ~ like an inquisition or a job interview ~ i am out of there ~ no 2nd date.
Basically, if it lacks fluidity ... Has too many bumps ~ I'm quick to accept that it clearly isn't working, so I'll make the best of it ~ I'll let him ramble (subtly posing questions he'll only be too eager to expand on) whilst going through the paces.0 -

do you bring all of this on a clipboard?0
