    they played "Sweet Caroline" last night. I heard about it on the radio this morning.

    And cried.

    I used to live just outside the city, spent most of yesterday waiting for my last unaccounted for friend to get in touch (they're all ok thank god), and i lived there when the sox beat the yanks in '04. it was one of the most memorable series there will ever be in baseball, that ALCS. In a time of horrible tragedy, it is so touching for enemies (yes, the yanks and the BoSox are truly enemies) to stand together united in love and compassion....

    yeah, about ready to cry again.
