Thanks for posting. I LOVE cardio, but switched to heavy lifting in January. I am struggling with the number on the scale now and the relatively slow process that lifting can be. I know all of these things in my head, but dealing with them in real life is hard. I know it is going to take dedication and perseverance and about a year to really see changes. Your post is very inspiring and reinforces my need to stick with the lifting and scale back the cardio.

I just took a look at the Venus plan... it doesn't talk much about what you should eat and makes a point to say they can work around any diet. What do you eat to make that change?? Is that transformation just from lifting?0

To answer some of your questions:
1. No, I do not eat clean....well, certainly not all the time. I am "cutting" right now and I am *trying* (but not always succeeding....) to eat mostly protein and fewer (bad) carbs.
2. Yes, I do intermittent fasting. Actually, Venus would call my style of eating "intermittent feeding" because I eat all of my calories from 12:30 pm (lunch-time) to 6:30/8:30 pm. I am naturally more hungry later in the day.
3. I eat NOTHING all morning and I work-out at lunchtime, fasted, always.
4. "Heavy lifting" got me started on ending my "skinny fat" days.....but, it's 100% true that you CANNOT "out-train" a bad diet! So, exercise has transformed my SHAPE, but being in a caloric deficit has removed my BODY FAT.0 -
