Look carefully at the picture. She is wearing a corset under that dress. Regardless of what she says, she chooses to look like this.0

THATS CRAZY. she has a nice *kitten* though.0

I will admit I was about....to defend the 20 inch waist girl. Until I saw the picture. It looks like she had the bottom part of her ribs removed.
I have a friend who has serious thyroid issues. She fluctuates from hypo to hyper. She can not get her weight over a buck to save her life. (Literally) There are those out there that face this type of problem. We can jest we wish we had that kinda problem, but it is pretty serious.
Now, back to the girl in this photo, she is not healthy. Something is either altered in that picture of she has had internal organs removed. It is almost not possible. AND shame to whatever publication gave her fame for that waist. SHAME!
she does waist training,it is no more unhealthy than feet binding or neck streaching or any other form of body modification
Wait, what? Are you being sarcastic? Please tell me you're being sarcastic...foot binding became illegal because of how unhealthy it was. When they went around unbinding women's feet, they were just blackened, rotten stumps. Women who wore corsets to achieve the "wasp-waisted" look ended up severely unhealthy because their internal organs were moved around to the wrong places in their bodies. If people remove the rings to stretch their necks after a certain point, they die, because their neck can no longer support their head.
This is crazy. I understand not wanting to judge, but this has gone too far...0 -
my thigh is bigger than her waist haha!
Mine too, and I only weigh 122, so I'm certainly not obese by any means.0 -
Misplaced organs, rotten foot stumps, and heads falling off. Sounds healthy to me!I will admit I was about....to defend the 20 inch waist girl. Until I saw the picture. It looks like she had the bottom part of her ribs removed.

she does waist training,it is no more unhealthy than feet binding or neck streaching or any other form of body modificationWhen I was in my 20's at one point I weighed 80 lbs and I was 5'4" and I looked very similar. Oddly enough, I would wear waist cinchers and the like to make my tiny waste even smaller. I was very sick in mind and body.0

Isn't the Sun a tabloid rag? Kind of like the Enquirer or the Examiner? I wouldn't put too much stock in that photo. Unless there's an actual news story on it, I say Photoshopped.0
-
My friend eats a lot but last year she was only 73 lbs at 5' 4.....just genetics though lol.0
-
Ok, so maybe not photoshopped, because I saw a video of her, but definitely altered with a corset. I don't believe the bull that she's been trying to gain weight all of her life. If that were true, she wouldn't wear corsets and go through corset training to deform her figure that way. Naturally thin, fine. Grotesquely altered, no way. :noway:0

My skinny 10 year old son has a 23" waist...
He's a prepubescent boy.
I mean I'm pretty lean and look emaciated if I let myself go but that lady...that's just too much. I'm always a defender of sorts of us bony chicks..but holy crap.0 -
Apperently she is corset trained, which makes sense. That definitley looks like corset trained waist.0
-
Omg! Now I'm small at 4ft 11" and weigh about the same BUT I am in proportion to my height and wear size 6-8 uk clothes, 34A bra.
I DO NOT look that thin. Geez that's terrible. Thought I needed to put weight on but after seeing that pic, I know now that I'm perfectly healthy, just need to get an an extra stone on but that's it.
I had to look twice at that pic as I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Have to say, I'm in a similar boat in the sense that I can eat loads of anything and not put weight on. High metabolism rate.0 -
When I was 19 or 20 I had a 19inch waist, I ate well, I just had a narrow waist, I also had a large chest. I didn't do any exercise, I went out drinking and dancing, ate sweets and chocolates, full fat coke etc. I wasn't a freak, I didn't TRY to be that shape, it was the one I was born with. I still have a well defined waist now I have lost weight and I think that genetics have a lot to do with how you carry your fat.0
-
LOL...and how does she explain her stick arms and thighs that have a bigger gap between them than the legs themselves?0
-
She looks like she wears a corset. You can train your body to look like that over time like the people who stretch their necks.
I agree. I just saw a show on this. Some chick wore custom-made super-tight corsets and they said her waist circumference was the same size as a DVD.0 -
She's clearly into fetish corseting.0
-
i saw this earlier...my bet is she has an eating disorder + she wears a corset (photos online actually show her with her corset + naked). She looks extremely malnourished and her waist does not look particularly small without the corset on. http://www.millionlooks.com/news/ioana-spangenberg-model-with-20-inch-waist/0

Why is everybody thin shaming? I have a natural 21 inch waist, with a 34 inch bust and 34 inch hips and I eat...a lot. As long as she's healthy and happy there's nothing wrong.0
-
She's obviously wearing a corset. You can see the boning and lacing in the back through the material of her dress.
ETA: Here she is not wearing a corset:
Here she is wearing a corset:
Yes, she is thinner than I'd ever like to be. But in the world of corsetry, 20" is really not that small. That just means that your natural waist is 24-26". There are women who've corseted down to 16". When I was fatter, I was able to corset down 8" easily, I was just squishy. I had a 37-38" natural waist and would easily corset down to 28-30". My natural waist is now 28", and it's doubtful I'll be able to corset down that much now as I'm much more muscular.
Also edited cause I didn't realize the first one I posted had nipplage showing.0 -

Yep. Without a corset she's still really skinny, but not freakish.
n/m someone beat me to it.0 -
Her picture is a good example of what a thigh gap looks like.
It was an encouraging to read that she appears to have healthy eating habits and would like to gain weight. She is not encouraging anyone to aspire to look like her. Just like thigh gaps, the ability to obtain a 20 inch waist is primarily genetic.0 -
Is that really 20 inches though?!? Mines only 21 but it doesnt look that bad :S
Weird!!!0 -
ugh not this girl again...it's so obvious that she is wearing a corset and has waist-trained (or whatever you call it) for years0
-
it looks vile.....sorry.0
