So I am curious about something...yesterday as I was running with my son in the stroller, I had a guy yell out to me "lookin' good!" I kept running and said thanks, I'm trying. So it got me thinking...do you think catcalls are trashy & rude or do you take it as a compliment?

    I personally(especially at my age) get a smile on my face when someone catcalls me. Why not take it as a positive?

    depends on the cat call... something like what you experienced is cool... lewd type cat calls, not so much.

    That actually happened. To date it is still the best thing anyone has ever said to me. Ever.

    I think it depends on what they say! And sometimes how they say it. I had someone say "You look nice today beautiful" and I was truly flattered.

    But if someone was just randomly driving by yelling "Mmmmm....Mmmmm, I know it's Jelly cuz Jam don't shake like THAT", I might find it a little more offensive.

    Getting a compliment is nice. Feeling like a piece of meat, not so much.

    Glad someone thinks I look good, but I live next to a six lane road, and anytime I go out to exercise, I get honks. Makes me feel a wee bit uncomfortable. Especially because I was doing a run/walk day, and while I was running, a guy in a red Saturn purposely slowed down to watch my butt, then sped up when I started walking again. Creepy.

    it makes me giggle and blush...and then I flip them the finger. Seriously people, it's a little embarrassing. Especially when I have to look around and go "who me"...but secretly, i love it.
