Rude Dude Rant

This is to the douche who thought it was okay to scowl at me while I did my 6 mile walk around the lake:
I realize that you are very disciplined and in control, given your extraordinarily large muscles and fabulous physique. However, your orange oompa loompa tan does nothing for you.
I'm so sorry you had to go out walking that day, I'm so sorry you had to get very disappointed that not every chick with a nice face has a perfect body.
And when you scowl at me in disgust because I am a fat *kitten*, remember that I am working hard to change. I was not put on the earth to please you, therefore the fact that you may have had to go home and rinse your eyes out with battery acid after seeing me in my chunky glory, has no bearing whatsoever to my life.

I absolutely love this.
I live in a pretty small town, so on my walk I have a stretch of highway to walk. When people holler or honk (im assuming because they think they're funny) I just wave and smile. (Secretly thinking, well they thought I was pretty hot too)0 -
You, my dear, are a beautiful lady...Don't let jerks like him have that much power over your emotional state. (hugs)
"The difference between a good day and a bad day it YOUR attitude"
(Oh yeah...helluva walk too)0 -
someone allowed themselves to get really offended here...0

I always go out of my way to smile at mean people, because they need it the most. So brit, thanks, I am with u 100% on smiling and waving too. (Of course they were probably honking cause you're hot!)
Thank you harvo for the compliment and the hug! Very good advice - normally I wouldn't have cared but I was really huffing and puffing on the last leg of my walk, and it was the last thing I needed haha!! So had to get it out - I needed the catharsis. And you are so right about attitude, it's everything!0 -
How do you know that he was scowling at you because of your size? It could have been any number of things. Maybe you reminded him of his abusive, alcoholic mother??0
-
Wow.
This...
this is real?0 -
How do you know that he was scowling at you because of your size? It could have been any number of things. Maybe you reminded him of his abusive, alcoholic mother??
LOL maybe he was trying to keep from letting one rip in front of you0 -

How do you know he wasn't squinting into the sun, or thinking about a problem at work/his personal relationships/etc. There is about a 98% chance he wasn't even thinking anything about you, but you felt the need to post a topic insulting him?0 -
So when did you realize you had the ability to read minds? I mean, you have to be able to this or it means this is just you using this guy to reflect your insecurities....0

Nobadkitty: LOL THANKS0

Or he's really constipated and was wincing...0 -

I think this has more to do with the OP's self esteem and less about said buff dude....0 -

I agree with these 2! Don't compare your insides to other peoples outsides. You don't know what he was thinking about.0 -
Maybe he was checking you out and trying to look fierce.0
-
maybe he thought of something he forgot to do/didn't want to have to do, like wash off his orange tan??0

did he actually SAY he had to go home to wash his eyes out with battery acid?!? I mean, if he did, good googa mooga. If not, then you have a very active imagination.0 -
Personally I find it more rude somebody is so self involved they think some random dude is scowling about you.
Get over yourself and realize don't care all that much. You'll enjoy life MUCH MORE that way.0 -
I hope you feel better, but I seriously doubt he gave as much thought to you as you think he did.0
-
Don't always assume everything is about you. . . I'm quite sure he wasn't scowling because he had to see you while you were walking. Instead, be sympathetic that the could have something bad going on in his professional or personal life and feel sympathy towards him.0
-
I agree that there may be any number of things he could have been thinking about and they had nothing to do with you. I have to wonder why you would immediately think he was scowling at you. Did you speak to him and he said something rude back? Did you smile at him and he didn't smile back? Did YOU say hi, and didn't get a response?
I find that there are all sorts of people where I usually walk, I always smile and nod or say hello, sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. Some smile, some seem to be frowning or scowling as you stated. I have never taken it personally, I don't know them at all, why in the world would they be frowning or scowling at me?
Don't take it all so personally......0 -
You know, sometimes I just look pissed.
I had a fight with my husband, my puppy pooped in her crate for the MILLIONTH time and I had to scrub it out, my other dog ate the baked goods I just made, I am having a bad day at work, some jerk cut me off on my way to go hiking...My husband ate the remainder of the marshmallow fluff...
On the one hand, I do know some people are jerks and don't treat people based on the fact that they're a good decent human being, but on the fact that they are certain size...on the other, there's a good chance he had a bad day....maybe you remind him of an ex or a person he really can't stand?
Dunno...I've been the person to fly off the handle at someone when they weren't really trying to piss me off...*shrug* It could have been something else.0 -
I KNOW a mad-dog stare, directly in my eyes, that was real, like he wanted me off the planet. I don't read minds, but BODY LANGUAGE tells the truth. I wouldn't have taken it any way if I wasn't absolutely CERTAIN. The upturned lip and everything. No he wasn't trying to look like Billy Idol, it was a genuine look of disgust. I know the look, I didn't mistake it.0

Are you sure he was really scowling at you? I've never actually seen this happen in real life, who has the energy and why would he care?
I hear this kind of stuff all of the time with people who are insecure going to the gym or whatever..."oh, everyone is staring at me and laughing." No they're not...it's just your warped perception (I don't mean that in a bad way..I mean warped as in not real). Really, people are just pre-occupied with what they're doing and not really paying any attention to you whatsoever. I know...I used to be one of those self conscious people who thought everyone in the world was laughing at me...turns out they hardly knew I existed.0 -
Some people just do not wave and smile. Many of them scowl. I think you took this a bit too personally.0

You should work for the FBI as an interviewer then. they need people that just "know" these things. Best of luck on your fitness goals. Hope you are able to work pass these insecurities and narcissism. :flowerforyou:0 -

My best smile looks like a scowl.
You really gotta go out of your way to be offended by a passing look.0
