At the risk of being thought of weirdly, I want to post my success story in the opposite direction...
I am recovered from anorexia. It's been a long, hard road, and I still have really tough mental days, but I'm proud of how much I've overcome and the health I have restored. MFP has been so helpful for me so I can keep myself in check to make sure that I'm getting enough nutrition, and the accountability of my open diary helps. In the first two pictures, I was 79lbs and 94lbs... those were taken 5-6 years ago. The last two I am between 120-125. Now that I'm maintaining, I rarely weigh myself - I gauge it by how my clothes fit. I haven't looked at these pictures side by side until now... it really makes me see how good health looks on me!
Thank you
totustuusmaria - you look radiant!
YOU LOOK SO HEALTHY! NEVER THOUGHT OF THIS HELPING ANOREXIA. ..YOU SHOULD BE SO PROUD0 -

I think its so easy for us all to assume that we are all in this to lose weight so thank you for sharing your story. You look absolutely stunning on the photos of you at your current weight! I only wish my auntie wasn't so far gone to the disease so that she could see how beautiful she too could look.0 -

Thank you so much! Sometimes I feel weird because I don't fit the stereotype around here, but ultimately, everyone on this site is aiming to develop a healthy relationship with food and exercise, so I'm really not that different! As I started to get better, I started binging, so I've dealt with overcoming both extremes. I pray that your aunt can find the strength and the will to get better. It's never too late!0 -
Hey ladies! How much did you weigh when you went into a size 14 jean?
5'6", I wore Levis curve id jeans size 14 between 192-180lbs, hips and belly 44-45 inches. Now between 180-174lb hips 42, belly 41, I wear size 12 in the L curve id, and can also fit tight into a size 10 but then I have a muffin top.0 -
Everyone looks so wonderful!
Here is a comparison picture of me when I was 36 pounds heavier (196-205lbs... possibly even more) and me now (160lbs). I still have about 20 pounds of fat to lose. I am a total apple shape and carry all my weight around my middle. I just started the 30 Day Shred to try to tone up the flab a bit. Hopefully soon I can post a new comparison! Oh and I am 5'7", 35 years old and I wear a size 10 usually. I used to wear a 16.

From December of 2011 until December of 2012.
I am now 30lbs lower than that, just no recent pics.0 -
I have pics in my profile of how I look now at 151. I'm in a size 6 or 8. I'm 5'6, 37 yo. I started at 197 size 14/16. I forgot to take pictures of myself when I started, I don't think I believed last year that I would come as far as I have. The first semi nude was when I started insanity at 160 to what I am now. I haven't lost a ton of weight since starting, but I have lost about 3% body fat using Insanity and upping my protein. All of you ladies look great!0

I am 5'6, and starting weight on this site was 204 lbs.I started this journey in May 2010, after seeing a picture of me 6 weeks after giving birth to my youngest son. I was disgusted, I hated feeling that way. I found MFP from a friend, and slowly started tracking my food, and started becoming more and more active. I joined a gym, and in the beginning, I would only go for15 minutes, be too tired and leave. (Sorry the pictures are so big!!!!)
After a couple months, I was seeing some progress.
Then I reached my weight goal - December 2010 which was 150 lbs.
I have maintained this weight now for over 2 years - so I started this year to really tone, and work on my muscles, and I am LOVING the results! So much, that I am in the process of becoming a Fitness Instructor!!!

This thread is very motivating. I'm 5'7" and the lowest I can remember weighing is 135.
My GW is 128 but it's cool to see so many people at this height are looking great weighing 115 -120.
If I could get down to that level, I could share clothes with my beautiful teenage daughter!0 -

bump- i love this thread!0

It's great to see how fantastic people look at all different sizes. Everyone looks so good even though there's a big variation in goal weights- just goes to show that you have to work with the shape and size you're meant to be. I would love to just lose a few more pounds and get down to 133 (9 and a half stone). Quite envious of the girls who are 120-130 pounds but know that my hips and ribs would never allow me to go that low!!0

I am 5ft 6
I actually didn't lose much weight. the difference between these two pics is 3 kilos. I went from being 68 to 65 kilos.
