I can't pick just one!
I saw Anthrax/Megadeth three years ago October, Anthrax was amazingly high energy, and I legit snatched David Ellefson's (Megadeth bassist) pick out of mid air. I'm only 5'1" so that was impressive.
Saw Angra two years ago January, and lord, best crowd ever, best band ever. It was one of their like 4 shows EVER in the US and it was just phenominal.
What about you?

I would have to say Kid Rock about a year or so ago. Then Blink 182 before that.0

Tool.
Roger waters performing the wall is a very very close second0 -
In terms of headlining bands, Nickelback (ready for the haters lol), Godsmack and Avenged Sevenfold were outstanding to see. Papa Roach was really good to. This upcoming saturday I have VIP tickets to the carnival of madness, get to meet and hang out with the bands (Shine Down, Papa Roach, Skillet) before the concert starts, super stoked!0

Sonic Youth in 2004 at the Dallas Gypsy Tea Room. And then I would have to pick the Dandy Warhols and M83 in 2012.

I saw them a few years ago. I liked THEM, but the crowd made me so miserable that it outweighed it. Seeing Puscifer live was incredible though.0 -

So I went to Lollapalooza in 1995. Wasn't real interested but I was given a free ticket. All of the "big names" for that year were disappointing at best, but 2 things stood out.
Sinead O'Connor did "Nothing Compares 2 U' and you could have heard a pin drop. Quite the performance.
Cypress Hill. They took the stage and tore that M----F---- down. They should have been the headliner, because no one else had a chance after that.0 -
I've seen Green Day 3 times (twice at festivals and once at their own show)
The one that was their own show (21st Century Breakdown Tour) was the best. I've been a fan since around Dookie ('94)0 -

I'm a big fan of multiday music festivals - bonaroo or gathering of the vibes are two of my favorites.
If I had to pick just one and this is hard...would likely be motley crue/buckcherry/paparoach0 -
Got free tickets to see Garth Brooks in 1996, at U of I. Man is a beast on stage...Would love to see Tool and Foo Fighters, one day!...Concerts are expensive..0

Marelyfest down in Miami in 2003 was a helluva lot of fun. Damian, Stephen, Kymani and some of the other Marleys put on a great show. Plus other various reggae artists throughout the entire day and into the night. Booze, weed's legal for the day. Like for real. They search your **** before going in, however i had a little pipe and a small amount of ganj on me, which they simply were not interested in. the entire venue (an awesome outdoor amphitheater down in Miami right on the water) is crawling with cops, but again people, myself included, would light up right in front of them, or wander around with a joint, and the cops were just not interested in that. i think mostly they were worried about fights and violence and ****. lol but not a lotta fights happening when everyone's high as a kite jamming to bob marley's sons and company. good fricken times.
ani difranco puts on an AMAZING live performance. she is a fantastic musician, storyteller, person--! i cannot praise her enough. i maybe kind of want to make out with her.
DMB as well, puts on a damn good live performance. haven't seen 'em though since LeRoi died.
i'm a big fan of live music. small or large. sometimes the most fun is had catching some local band jamming at a bar or restaurant.0 -
