What are your "no-no foods"?

Here's what I have decided to exclude from my diet:
- All junk food
- Pastries
- White bread
- Any meat besides fish
- Sugar
- Pasta
- Noodles
- Juice
- Soda pop
- Condiments (ranch, mayo etc.)
What would you list as foods that you no longer eat?

I don't have any no-no foods, I choose not to label foods. If it fits into my day, I eat it.0
-
I eat all the foods.0
-
Same here. Everything in moderation.0
-
Allllllll the foods for me too.0
-
There's nothing I will not eat. Excluding foods is a good way to set your self up for failure. I do make a conscious choice to avoid soda, but if I felt the desire to crack open a Pepsi I'd do it without any adverse feelings about it.
Rigger0 -
Pumpkin pie, because I HATE pumpkin pie.0

High fructose Corn Syrup, msg, fried foods. I mainly try to have whole foods and anti-toxins.0
-
Yes some foods are trigger foods for me. So I avoid them.
Sugar (except in fruit and veggies)
Grains (no bread, tortillas, pasta etc)
Pop (diet or regular)
I don't drink my calories, so nothing I drink has calories in it.0 -

not really no-no foods but i try hard to minimize any fizzy drinks intake...also I avoid any food that has msg/aspartame in them.0

no-no foods
ffs, you're not 2yrs old0 -
I do not have any no no foods, I do have foods I will not indulge in while I am trying to loose weight but once I obtain my weight goal I will not have foods I will never permit myself. I will limit my portions of some foods.0
-
I eat all foods too... But there are certain foods I limit (fizzy juice is a rare treat, and bread, pasta and pizza etc) because they are very high calorie with not a lot to show for it. The only foods that are a no no for me are meat and fish etc but only because Im vegetarian.0

Yep. You will find that most people who have had long term success with fat loss and a healthy lifestyle have this mentality. The more restrictions you have on your diet, the higher the likelihood of a binge or giving up (unless you have medical reasons for eliminating certain foods/food groups). This is not a 100% rule, and it may not apply to YOU, but it does apply to the masses.
Will you live the rest of your life with out the foods you listed? A year? Will you live for six months? Three months? Three weeks? If you can't sustain these eating habits long term, why to force them on yourself now? Enjoy everything in moderation. For me, this means pizza once a week, wine every Saturday and ice cream or chocolate every. single. night. :drinker:0 -
Broccoli and cauliflower.
They are disgusting vile weeds.0 -
Technically there aren't any foods I don't eat. I've substituted different foods for the high calorie/low fiber foods (I eat a whole grain bread instead of white, and I try to keep skinny cows instead of true chocolate bars), but I prefer everything in moderation to exclusion.0

- Processed foods
- White carbs (pasta, rice, noodles, etc)
- Soda (diet or otherwise)
- Sweetened juice
- Dairy (except for cheese and yogurt!)
- White sugar
- Anything deep-fried
These are foods I do my best to avoid for the benefit of my health, not my weight. Sometimes I slip up, but I don't get too down on myself about it!0 -
Even though I love it, me and pasta do not get along. Neither do me and rice. I just can't quit ice cream either but I'm asking for a divorce.0
-
Soda, of any kind, even diet.
And fresh baked french bread... beacuse I'll end up eating half of the loaf.
I consider myself lucky, I'm not really into sweets of any kind. Not a fan of ice cream or cakes. It's just the darn fresh baked breads that get me!
Once in a while I give in and half a piece but REALLY have to watch it if there is an entire loaf in the house.0 -
I have to cut all the food that I love that I know have a crazy amount of fat just because I'm not able to have "just a bit" or "a small portion of it". I know that when I start with those I can't stop ç__ç so here they are.....
Rodeo chips
fries...really, anything that is fried
ice cream...
puff pastry pizza... ç__ç this one hurts the most.
My goal is reaching the perfect shape so that at least once a month I can have these guys back in my life0 -
No foods are off-limits for me, but I have found with tracking that ice cream is something I am not willing to have all the time. It is too calorie-dense and the fat is high, so I save it as an occasional treat, esp if it is a flavor I really like.
For the calories in a 1/2 cup of ice cream (piddly!) I could have a whole bowl of yogurt and frozen fruit. Some days, though, only ice cream will do. :-)0 -
The only foods on my no-no list are the ones that cause medical ailments (IBS, diverticulitis) in me. Other than that - everything in moderation!0
-
I'm currently not eating anything processed or packaged, made with enriched flours, or with added sweeteners/preservatives. That ends on September 15th after my half marathon (decided to eat clean because I was simultaneously training for the race and trying to knock off the 20 pounds I gained abroad) when I indulge in a giant ice cream sundae with a brownie inside (which I believe breaks all of my rules).
I really should add peanut butter to the no-no list though, just because I am completely incapable of eating it in limited quantities.0 -
I used to be addicted to sweet stuff like confectionary, cake, pastries etc so that is the one thing that I have to cut out now that I'm trying to lose weight. I know I could probably eat those things in moderation but I find it easier to completely cut it out of my diet as opposed to eating small amounts of it.0

Parsnips & pop tarts......everything else is fair game.High fructose Corn Syrup, msg, fried foods. I mainly try to have whole foods and anti-toxins.

LOL, I was wondering the same thing.0 -
I don't have anything that I can't eat. If I did I would fail. I do limit sweets and fried foods however.0
