It is different for everyone. My band size goes down but my cup size doesn't usually go down much (and I'm a G cup so that sucks really).

Some women do lose cup size and some don't, and I know in theory it is fatty tissue and it should leave, but it doesn't always, depends on genetics largely for that component of it unless you get super super thin.

eta: I am hoping this time is different, I would love for them to get small enough for me to buy underarmour sports bras and to shop regular stores for bras (I have trouble finding my current size even at the big women stores).

I don't get it tbh. I just want your explanation... Why do so many women not like having big boobs? I don't really get that concept. Which exactly is this?

Your band size may decrease, but your cup size may not! I was surprised to find I went from a 36DD to a 32DDD. That boggled my mind! Unfortunately, finding bras is now very difficult...and expensive.

Even if you're only losing band sizes and not cups, your breasts are getting smaller. The cup size is a proportion. A 32B cup and a 36B cup are not the same sized cup.

I'm hoping to lose about 30 lbs of breast myself ;) I'm wearing an 44H and it really should be a 44J but those are impossible to find. The last time I was at my goal weight I was a 36E. I'm hoping to get a breast reduction once I hit my goal.

You will mosy certainly go down because if I recall correctly, the breast area is mainly fat tissue :)

Breasts are made of fat and dense tissue. The amount you lose is dependent on your ratio of fat to tissue. Some people have denser breasts made up of little fatty tissue. These people tend to retain their size. If your breasts are made of more fat will lose more volume.

I don't get it tbh. I just want your explanation... Why do so many women not like having big boobs? I don't really get that concept. Which exactly is this?

Here are the top 3 I can think of:
    1. For some women it causes back pain (this can be mitigated for many with the proper sized bra, but not for everyone.) I am not one of those large busted women with that problem. My sister, who has another cup or so on me at a similar weight does.
    2. Having large breasts has been deemed by society as a sign of being fat. This thread isn't bad, but many other breast size threads start insulting women with larger breasts saying it is all fat and they'd rather be "healthy" than fat with big breasts. Breast size is a lot more complicated than that, and there is a ton of variation. There are some people who gain weight in their breasts, and other women who's size hardly changes with weight gain. They are destined to have a large chest even at low weights or body fat percentages. There are also plenty of women with small rib cages and large breasts who have a very difficult time shopping for bras, but mainstream stores send them to plus sized stores to shop for bras. And even those do not fit. (I am one of those, even though I am at border of plus/regular at size 14-16, Lane Bryant doesn't have a bra to fit me. All are too big in the band and too small in the cup.)
    3. Having a larger bra size makes it difficult to shop for bras. You need to go to specialty stores and bras are pricey. For me, a cheap bra means under $50.
    4. Having large breasts is deemed as being slutty or not classy. I.E. you are a porn star or easy.

Our society has sexualized breasts so much, you can't just have them without people making assumptions. In a way breasts are a feminist issue. Think about all of the breast feeding controversy. Women aren't supposed to breast feed in public, because people might see their boobs!!!! Aahhhhh!!!! How will the men control themselves with bare breasts on display?

I have had sketchy guys ask me my breast size in the context of "flirting." Or just ask to see them. And many other women have had much worse experiences.

I never experienced any of that besides problems finding bras and people thinking somehow just because of a build I'm a *kitten*. But moreso with how people feel about it I've figured I'm not letting anyone put me down or make me feel bad about something I can't change like breasts size. But then again I had a rough road with chest size since I was a little kid so I guess that's why it's easier for me to say **** what others think of my boobs because it's nothing new to me. But I understand how that can be a negative for other women.

I would like for my boobs to get a little smaller, but i'm not expecting it to happen. Plus, like someone said, it could be hard for some people to naturally lose weight from their boobs.

I've lost 40 pounds and dropped from a 42DD to a 40D which isn't too much but I'm ok with that. the weight is coming off around my waist and hips first which is nice.

Haha, why do some women not like having big boobs? I wear a G or GG cup, and let me tell you, it's an absolute pain. Shirts never fit well, my shoulders and back hurt, there's dents in my skin from my bras, they're not attractive at all. More mass = more sagging. Unless you have implants, larger breasts are not perky. I can't wait to go down in sizes everywhere, boobs included. :)

I would be happy if I could just lose enough weight in my boobs that I could buy bras at a department store.

    I wish they got smaller.
Cup size has stayed the same DD, but went from a 46 to 36.

You'll definitely go down a few sizes, but it'll probably be proportional to the size of your body. I started out as a 38 G and I just resized and now I'm a 34 H. I technically went up a cup size, but only because I've lost more from under my bust.

    Measurements before losing:
    Bust- 45
    Under bust- 38

    Current measurements:
    Bust- 41.5
    Under bust- 32.5

My measurements say that I went from a 42C to a 36C. The 36C however doesn't fit right. I'm guessing I'm a 36B now. I don't understand how my measurements don't fit well in to the size designed for my measurements. Maybe it's the brand.

It could very well be. I'm having the same issue. What I've learned is that sister sizes can help and a whole lot of trial and error is involved. :ohwell: Maybe this pic might help...
