    4 me/0 snacks

Thank goodness for those alarms. I had just pulled out dessert (yummy cookies) for the family and my alarm went off, with a 15 minute window before cut-off. Instead of shoving cookies in my mouth for 15 minutes, I actually sat and thought about whether or not I really wanted them. Come to find out, I was satisfied, so I passed. Saved myself about 150 calories right there.

Tonight, going to make the cutoff at 9, dinner by 7:30, but hubby and I are going on a "yogurt date" at 7:30 for a whole 150 calories, so I'm satisfied with that. Just need to make sure I put fruit on my yogurt and not those yummy M&M. It's all about the smart choices, right?

    How is everyone else doing?

Aw, Lorna, I just love your inspirational stories. It is so good to be back here: I missed this spirit you ladies show!

I will give my last night's point to the snacks. So happy this does not mean I'd have to reset the counter, that would be too frustrating!

I almost missed my cut-off time last night. I hadnt even realized it was that late, thank you for my 15 min alarm warning. I've been sick since Sunday so I QUICKLY ate homemade chicken noodle soup so I would beat LNS. Mission Accomplished!

Tomorrow is my weigh-in day, I hope the scale is my friend tomorrow. I'll let you know what happens tomorrow.
  • Ok I forgot last eve... I guess, no..... I know bad habits are hard to break. I have to be more mindful!!!

  • Family had ice cream tonight. I am having herbal tea instead. Still Late Nite Snack Free.

I'm with you on that one Dew. Snacks got me last night too. Had my yummy yogurt. But then hubby got pizza and down I went. But tonight is new.

Me 4/Snacks 1 - That will be my slip up for the week (Oddly enough my alarm didn't go off, so I need to investigate that).
  • As of last night- Me-2/ LNS -3

    Bmw6series Good job!

I fought the late-night snack urge hard last night . . . and I won. Then today I discovered this challenge. Divine intervention maybe . . . Well, after 9PM tonight, the fight begins again.

    Hi-
I am not off to a good start.:frown: I was fine on Oct. 1, but blew it after that. Fortunatelyy, it's because of happy occasions: anniversary party, birthday dinner.
    So, I think I'm at:
    Me - 2
    Snacks - 3
Hopefully, I can get back on track until the next birthday celebration this Sat.
    Good luck ot you all.
    Zaza
PS Happy to see you again dew.

According to my scale I lost 8.8lbs this week. :noway:

OMG! I thought my scale was broken. So I moved the scale several times and it stayed the same. So, I put my son on the scale because I know how much he weighs and it was accurate. This is CRAZY. I know since joining MFP it has been a drastic change in my nutrition but Ive been exercising prior to joining. Maybe the reason for the big weight loss is because Ive been sick this week. I'll wait and see what happens next week before I get too excited.

1 for me and 1 for them, to be even. Well, I'm still leading  (silly to have such a positive attitude when you lose points, right?)

Stay on track, ladies! You can do it, you've proven so many times that you can!

I lost the battle tonight. :grumble: Went out to eat with my family to celebrate my baby boy's 1st B Day. I didnt order all the things I would have normally ordered and I only had water so I dont feel too bad.

Having a little gathering tomorrow for him with my extended family. Hope I eat ok....I'll keep you ladies posted.

Well, got home later than expected so ate later than expected, but I'm still giving it to myself because I made very healthy choices, no junk, and didn't even finish my whole dinner.

    So ME 6/ snacks 1

I'll make last night one of my 9 p.m. nights and tonight probably. Tomorrow is a party, but it starts at 5, so I'm going to try and keep it under control by stopping by 7:30 and just dancing the night away :)

This is SO hard, which is why it's SO necessary. My score is only worsening. I used to be better at this.:grumble:

I exercised later than usual and was so hungry and I gave in. Ugh!!!
I'll keep trying. I have to think of you all sticking to this challenge and get motivated!
    Have a good week-end.

No late night snacking. Set a goal for yourself (mine is no food after 8pm, 8:30 on Friday and Saturday night, since I'm up a little later), and then stick with it. Check in as often as you can, like everyone else.

Zaza... Maybe you can make your cut-off time a little later (like, 1/2 hour or something) so that you won't be so discouraged. Even stopping eating just an hour or 2 before bed, is still better than eating and crashing.

    ME 7/snacks 1

Well, I was definitely done by 7:30. Actually I was done by 2 p.m., but had eaten ALL my calories and then some, so I went and did an aerobics class, came home by 7:30 exhausted and went straight to bed. Tonight is the party. Going to try to cut off by 7:30, but will allow myself til 9 as my second late night in the week.

Zaza - don't beat yourself up. I agree with Steph. Change your time and then gradually back down in increments of 15 minutes if you need to. You have already been successful at this in the past. You can do it again!

These past couple of days have been HORRIBLE!!! I went WAY over my calories 3 days in a row and I only exercised 1 day this week cause Ive been sick. I hope I dont gain too much weight back next week. I have to think positive and start fresh tomorrow.

    Will try harder tonight.
loveme445, hang in there! You are aware of it, that's very good! Better then when you did not care for the calories. Don't worry about the possible gain, sometimes it's just water weight and will go off as soon as you get back on track. Late night snacking will do the job for you , as long as you stick to it . Good luck!

Thank you for the encouraging words Dewdrop!

Today was a good day! I was determined to make up for my exercise this week and met my weekly goal. So this morning I went for a walk with the family for 1 hour and 40 mins. This evening me and my husband went for a bike ride for 1 hr and 45 mins. Then I logged my exercise and noticed I was short by 5 mins and 54 cals. So I got on my ellipitical for 10 mins and burned 109 cals. Now, I need to burn those extra cals I consumed those 3 HORRIBLE days before I weigh in Wed. So, I plan on working out like CRAZY on Monday and Tuesday to burn off those cals.

Yes, I am counting tonight because I already ate dinner and I am CONFIDENT that I will not be eating anything else tonight.

Good Luck to Everyone this Week!
