You are in a room connected to another room with a door. No light can get in or out. There is a light bulb hanging in the other room, just beyond the door, within arms reach and three light switches in your room. If you can only flip two switches and you can only go into the other room once, how can you know for sure which switch will turn on the bulb?

    Turn on switch 1.
Turn off switch 1 after 10 minutes.
    Turn on switch 2.
    Enter the room.
If the light is on, light is controlled by switch 2.
If the light is off and warm, light is controlled by switch 1.
If the light is off and cool, light is controlled by switch 3.

    CORRECT!

Flip the first switch on, leave it for a minute, then turn it off. Then flip the second switch on.

Enter the other room. if the light is on, the second switch is the one. if not, hold your hand up to the bulb. If it is warm, the first is the switch. if not, it's the third.

A dragon and knight live on an island. This island has seven poisoned wells, numbered 1 to 7. If you drink from a well, you can only save yourself by drinking from a higher numbered well. Well 7 is located at the top of a high mountain, so only the dragon can reach it.

One day they decide that the island isn't big enough for the two of them, and they have a duel. Each of them brings a glass of water to the duel, they exchange glasses, and drink. After the duel, the knight lives and the dragon dies.

    Why did the knight live?

    Why did the dragon die?

The knight had already drunk from a lower numbered well before they exchanged glasses, and the dragon is dumb.

The dragon gave him the highest well water and the knight gave the dragon a lower water ?

    Why did the knight live?

    Why did the dragon die?

The knight gave the dragon plain water, knowing that he'd drink from the seventh well to cure himself. He also drank from the 1st well in advance so the dragon's water from the 7th well cured him.

The dragon died of old age.

[should note, I'm not being serious, I think the correct answer has been given]

Everyone is hitting all around it - pieces and parts

Dragon knows that knight cant reach well 7. So he thinks that if i give knight water from well 6 or 7, knight would die for sure. So he would get water from well 6 or 7 for knight.

Knight knew that no matter from which well he gives the water, dragon will go and drink from well 7 and live. So he got normal water for dragon and before duel drank water from well 1.

When they exchanged glasses and drank water, dragon rushed to well 7 and drank poison from it, thinking that it would cure the poison he just drank (but he drank normal water), so dragon died. Knight on the other hand already had poison from well 1 so what dragon gave him effectively cured him. So he lived.

The knight lived because he knew that the dragon would probably bring water from well 7, so he drank water from a lower numbered well, and the water the dragon brought him saved him. The dragon died because the knight brought water that wasn't from any of the poisoned wells, so when he went to drink from well 7, the poison killed him.
