Hey guys! Things are going good this weekend. Yesterday I discovered that I haven't been walking right my whole life. I'm a hunched-forward, over-strider and this is causing problems with balance and I think aggravating my knee. I tried reading up on proper walking online. I've been practicing better posture and shortening my steps. It isn't easy for me. If anyone here's into race walking or knows about how to correctly walk fast, add me as your friend and we'll talk.

I lost another 1/4 lb this week but I'm holding off to officially weigh on Monday. I'm also rediscovering my quads. Last week my thighs were sore and puffy from all the workouts. This week there is something long, hard and lumpy emerging from the flab. Muscles! I keep poking'm just to be sure it's not a fluke. Oh God, I really want Xena Thunder Thighs!

Have a great Saturday everyone! Go after those goals! It's gonna be a good Monday.

:blushing: had a sneaky peek this morning before work..143lbs!! :noway: i can't believe it! It's been a quite a bad week for me LOL. I've got my fingers tightly crossed that I'll see that number again on Tuesday :smooched:

How's everyone's week been? Remember..whenever you have a bad week, just start afresh the next week - don't let it get you down! :flowerforyou:
  • I forgot to weigh in yesterday!

I am at 153 again, down a lb from last week. I really want to break 150 before Thanksgiving, when my brother is coming to visit. He will be so proud of me! He and his fiance haven't seen me since I weighed 175. Everyone here has gotten so used to my smaller size (including me!) that I wonder if they will even notice. I am looking forward to their reaction.
  • Alioth-- how did you discover that you walk the wrong way?! I didn't even know that was possible! Congrats on the 1/4 lb!

These past couple of days have been HORRIBLE!!! I went WAY over my calories 3 days in a row and I only exercised 1 day this week cause Ive been sick. I hope I dont gain too much weight back next week. I have to think positive and start fresh tomorrow.

I just finished reading all of the October posts. I am trying to get myself re-motivated. I have been struggling A LOT! I have been floating between 145-148 for the past month. This is my fault. My eating is out of control and I haven't been getting in all of my workouts. i am slowly trying to get back with the program. I would LOVE to see 142 by the end of the month. Well, its time to get my daughter up and then get in a workout.

Well, I finally got up the courage to step on the scale... official starting weight: 155. :ohwell: I'm hoping that actually putting that number out there for the world to see will motivate me to change it!!

Had a good workout at the gym today. 5 miles on the treadmill (ran for 3.5 of them!) and Level 1 of the 30-Day Shred. Whew! 13 days until our final race -- need to train hard to finish with a PR. (Probably should have been working on that for the last several weeks, huh?) :embarassed:

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Back on track! I got a 4.2 mile walk/run done today. The first time since my knee trouble last month that I have done any amount of running. I had been walking and slowly increasing m miles and now time to start running again. Running is such a rush and it can burn so many more calories in an hour than walking.

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Today was a good day! I was determined to make up for my exercise this week and met my weekly goal. So this morning I went for a walk with the family for 1 hour and 40 mins. This evening me and my husband went for a bike ride for 1 hr and 45 mins. Then I logged my exercise and noticed I was short by 5 mins and 54 cals. So I got on my ellipitical for 10 mins and burned 109 cals. Now, I need to burn those extra cals I consumed those 3 HORRIBLE days before I weigh in Wed. So, I plan on working out like CRAZY on Monday and Tuesday to burn off those cals.

Monday Morning check in time for me. I seem to be hanging at about the same weight. I haven't exercised all week but have had to work 7 days straight working VERY hard. I hope I can kick it in gear. My manager is out sick, one of our keyholders had a car wreck while on vacation and is out and we had one very crucial employee just decide to quit with no notice. No show, no call. PLUS, I'm supposed to be preparing for my move to OKC in 2 wks! I worked something like 56 hrs last week. HR will NOT be happy with those over time hours but it can't be helped. I headed in this morning at 7 am to unload a truckload of freight. I have all the paperwork for last week to prepare and payroll to get posted. I'd better get going.
    Here's my stats:

    Oct 1 SW 190.5
    Oct 4 191.5
    Oct 11 190.
    Oct 31 goal wt 185.5

    4.5 lbs to go!

    Hooray! I'm right on target.

Congrats, Bekylou! Congrats momtofour! Congrats iamanne!

Shelli and just_peachy>> You can do it!

Amanda, you're brother should be very proud! There's a big difference in your pics so I bet they'll notice. They might need a hint to say something about it though. Heh. And I sent you a link about walking.

    loveme>> That's the spirit!

tralalara>> Congrats on being down 1/2 a pound! And wow, you're a very busy woman. What kind of work do you do?

Glad you're running again, Terri. I can't wait to be there myself.

    Happy Columbus Day to everyone!

Well, I was married Oct 18th, 2008  So our anniversary is coming up and I've been non-exsistent lately trying to figure out plans and money and clothes, etc. We're thinking of site seeing all day Saturday and partially Sunday in St Louis (even though we've lived 30 min away our whole lives and never really checked out much there...) we're thinking about hitting up the Arch, City Museum, Botanical Gardens (which is where he proposed in 2007  ), The Zoo and a few other possible spots and then Staurday evening, going to the Lumiere Place Hotel and Casino for a nice dinner (which means I get to wear my lil black dress) and then might be staying at the hotel.

Anyway, my week/weekend has been ok, I had family in town and trying to feed 9 people which includes 5 kids...so it's been a little rough, I'm sure my sodium is actually quite higher than my diary has said. And exercise has been 2 quick walks and some mall window shopping. I'm hoping to rock out a few more days of 30 day shred, hopefully I can get one in later today and then 2 more at the least this week. Of course, I plan on getting some walking in, but hopefully it will be longer than a mile each time.

Sorry I've been non-exsistent a lot lately (I have been in all my threads and not sure why) but I'm still here, lurking at least :ohwell: Grandpa had his surgery and is home, ut we got a phone call at 11p last night that he fell, and it took my husband and I a good 45min just to get him up and in his chair. I hate seeing him like this, it's like he's just giving up. But anyway, I don't want to turn the thread that way, so I will 'see' ya all later.

    Bru

IT's MONDAY! Which means a new set of BMK Challenges!!

This week: Do a fun activity - grab a partner if you can! 20-30 minutes at least! Try something like mini golf, volleyball, tennis, basketball, laser tag, rock climbing, hopscotch, jumping double dutch...whatever - just make it FUN!

Also, let's get in a minimum of 30 minutes of jogging or walk/jog per day for 5 days

. And as for the food challenge: everyone try something new or a food that you don't like again to see if maybe your taste buds have changed since you had it last, you never know!

**This is Kelly's challenge while she's on her cruise, so if she can do this while on vacation and on a cruise, we can do it too!! Let's move it!
