I'm 164cm, approximately 5 foot 4.5 and currently weigh around 125. I wear US size 6. I wore US size 6 when I was my lowest weight of 117, and at my highest when I was 141.
I think you have to remember that all bodies are different. For example, I have a huge butt and thighs, but a tiny waist.
In addition you may weigh more or less than someone, but that doesn't always equate to what size you are. That is because if you have more muscles i.e. a low body fat percentage, you might weigh the same as somebody with a high body fat percentage but you will look way smaller.0 -
5'5", 166lbs and I wear size 140

I am 5'4" and weigh 128 pounds and wear a 2 or 4 depending on the brand. I also have a size 0, but that is more the exception.0

5'4", 190. I fit comfortably into 12's. It's all about the distribution of the weight. I'm pretty evenly proportioned.
I have many friends at a similar height and weight, who wear everything from a 6 (top heavy) to a 22 (bigger belly).
(I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and when I first made the switch to maternity pants I was thrilled, thinking I'd be able to wear a 10. But apparently I'm a pretty true 12 because even pregnant, it's the size that fits me best.)0 -
I am 5'1. Started as a size 20 at 213.
Today I weigh 167 and just fit into a size 1
My figure is pretty hour glass, large chest, large hips, big thighs and the rest of me small. I agree though, it is how your weight is distributed throughout your body.0 -
5ft 4in. 62kg or 136lb's wear an Australian size 8, which I think is the equivalent of a US 4/6, UK 8 and Eu 38.0

I'm around 5'6'', weigh between 196 and 199 and can comfortably wear a size 14. I have a bigger waist line than legs, so anything above that can be too baggy in the legs, I sometimes buy 16s and I regularly wear one size 12 pants. I can safely say I'm a size 14.0

I'm 5'3 and 249 lbs. I wear a size 22 right now. It's depressing because I've never been this heavy, and I never thought I'd be at this point. However, I just keep thinking that I'll never have to be this big again if I have anything to do with it.0

Man it's crazy how much sizes vary! I'm 5`4, 167lbs....size 13/14.0

Wouldn't taller mean bigger jeans? Tall people typically have a larger structure.
Nope, not always. I'm 5'11, a tad south of 150 and wear a 6. Just because you are taller doesn't mean you'll never been in smaller sizes - which is something I told myself all the time when I was squeezing into 14's in 2010. Rationale - I'm tall, I'll never wear a small. Accept it. Then something clicked.
Sorry to invade your 5'4", OP. My mom is 5'4", weighs a couple pounds less than me and can wear anything from a 6 to 10 petite in pants. M-L Shirts.0 -
Hey, I am 5'4". When I joined MFP in late Aug./13 I weighed 204 and my jean size was 18. I have since lost 18 lbs. and I am still wearing the same jeans, although they are feeling really really good, not tight and pushing my roll of fat up from my waist. That in itself is worth saying no to an over load of fat and sugar!! One day I hope to be a size 10 or 12. My goal is to be 145 lbs.
Good luck in your weight loss journey. Friend me if you wish....0 -

I am 5'4". When I was 30 years younger I was 134-136 and wore a then sized 14. Today I am 129, I wear a size 8. HOWEVER, I still have those size 14 jeans. I can wear them, they are only slightly loose on me.
The fashion industry has played enormously with their sizes. 30 years ago I would be wearing a size 12, not the size 8 that I am wearing today.0
