Fall is here!! We went apple picking so I made some apple butter to slather on a slice of homemade bread. A NOMMMY breakfast
We opted for a light lunch yesterday (a heavy dinner was planned). I made a chive and cheddar cheese souffle. Came out SOO delicious!
ooh my gosh i have a jar of apple butter in my fridge!! i havent had bread in a while kinda broke and living off a little chicken and tuna and some box meals, eh not the greatest lol but yea now i reeeaally want toast and apple butter0 -
i made some potato gnocchi today. prepared it three ways.
1.) brown butter, sage and parmesan
2.) vegan option with olive oil, toasted garlic, pine nuts, lemon, black pepper, and parsley
3.) quick sear in butter with garlic, fresh tomatoes, basil, and soft mozzarella then popped under the broiler
it was no easy feat to get the action shot...

experimenting a bit. made a lasagna excepted i use thin sheets of pan fried polenta in place of the noodles. it was awesome.

Went to a special 16 person preview dinner from a chef who is opening a restaurant in the Dec. Was at a demo kitchen and pretty neat. The amuse was an oyster with tomato dashi gelee and the dessert was a walnut apple cake with brown butter, buttermilk ice cream and apple in various forms with bleu cheese

Steamed broccoli & cauliflower, lentils cooked with a little onion & celery, and chuck steak sauteéd with more onion & cherry tomatoes (as well as chili powder, salt, and white pepper). 323kcals, 47g carbs, 7g fat, 44g protein, 21g fiber, 48g iron. I feel like this might be my most successful MFP dinner yet!0 -

caeser salad at a new cafe which was surprisingly good. they had grilled chicken breast pieces all over, and those were tasty. but their cakes were the highlight. the RV cake was to die for

i made some cookies to look like eyeballs. vanilla butter cookies rolled in powdered sugar and filled with dulce de leche. black chocolate candy for the pupil.
