Doesn't look the nicest but man it was good.

Slower cooker beef curry! with a cup of cooked brown rice stirred in for the last half hour of cooking. and my new fav Mini ready to eat poppadoms!

    Edit:spelling

slow cooked stuff always looks like a dogs breakfast to me but I love it! Recipe please

    Haha Defiantly!

I'm a total cheat when it comes to slowcooker meals so its pretty easy

    500 gram chuck steak
    1 large brown onion
    2 teaspoons crushed garlic
    1 can coconut milk
Some sort of veg ( Mushrooms and green caps i put in)
and one of those Pataks slow cooker beef curry packets ( don't judge me :blushing:  )

and just chuck it all in, I didn't even brown the meat first either because i ran out of time and it was just as good. The sachet has something different on it though and uses heavy cream or something but i think coconut milks way nicer to cook with.

edit: oh and rice but whatevs

Thanks. Slow cookers are all about the laziest way possible! packet mixes for life

White choc passionfruit mudcake with the cream icing. It's the most decadent cake ever and I made it twice (it's from the Search for NZ's favourite recipe website)

    Date loaf

    486174_474044775956579_25322227_n.jpg

    Craisin bread

    1 tbsp butter
    1 c hot water
    2 c self raising flour
    1 tsp baking soda
1 c dried cranberries (or any dried fruit you feel like)
    1 c saltanas or raisins
1/2 c glucose powder or sugar

Preheat oven to 180°C and grease a small slice tin (I'm guessing it is about 10 cm).
    1. Combine butter, baking soda, dried fruit and hot water.

    2. Sift in the flour and pour into the baking tin. If the mix is too dry for whatever reason, add a little more water. The mix should be like bread dough, moist but not liquidy.

    3. Bake for about 30-40 mins until brown and clear when tested with a fork.

P.S. This recipe is adapted from http://www.firstsearch.co.nz/sultana-or-raisin-loaf.html

Microwave brownie. To make it, I melted chocolate, mixed it with self raising flour, mashed banana and some self raising flour, then whipped it in the microwave for 3 mins.

bagels topped with ketchup, scrambled eggs and boiled broccoli. the rest of the broccoli is on the side, with grilled bell peppers and tomatoes.

    tumblr_mnych0dYt01stzlw4o1_500.png

finally had a chance to try oatmeal! i had it with brown sugar, honey and chopped strawberries. its pretty good? but i see myself getting sick of it quite fast, so I probably can't eat it everyday of the week. :P

    tumblr_mnwpnrpXa31stzlw4o1_500.png

i've been missing indulging myself, so headed out to get some roti jala (translated to be netted bread, a traditional malay breakfast. :P) eaten with curry chicken. oh so sinful, but so worth it. :Q

    tumblr_inline_mnwsnv0XUh1qz4rgp.png

that had to be lunch, after the sinful breakfast above. just two plain buns, one jam slathered galette and a mug of milo.

    tumblr_inline_mnwspbTXJ01qz4rgp.jpg

also made peanut butter chocolate chip rolls ala Pinterest. :P

Sezchuan pulled chicken with a partially deconstructed roasted sezchuan peppercorn and chile vinaigrette on pate a choux. Gel was *****iang vinegar, soy, ginger, garlic and some sugar.

What did you use to gel the gel?

I used ~1.2% of agar agar and 1.5% of gelatin, %'s are based on total weight of the strained liquid you are trying to gel

This is a butterfly chicken breast, skinless and boneless, oven 'fried' with panko bread crumbs/Italian bread crumbs with a cup of brown rice made with low sodium chicken stock and topped with kale/fennel sauteed in some of the same chicken stock with fresh garlic and a dash or two of sriracha sauce.....it's roughly 662 calories ..... and I'm stuffed -- trying to eat the whole portion !!! Delish
