I share all these meals and recipes online and more (exercise routines, gratitude, etc.) on my fitspo Instagram page! Please feel free to follow. I am a 95% of the time clean eater whose goals is to lean down but gain muscle!! Not directed at me, but I always bake mine at 400 for 1 hour. Put it in a pan face down with some water. Turns out great, to me anyway.0 -

Sometimes I roast it as described here, but when I want to eat sooner I will microwave it. To microwave it I cut the squash in half, rub the insides with a little olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and put the halves face side down in a microwave safe dish. Put a little bit of water in the dish to help steam the squash and then cook for about 5 minutes, turn the halves around, and cook in increments of 2-3 minutes or so until the squash feels done. A small squash might be done in 10 minutes but a large squash might take 20. You just gotta keep an eye on it. If you feel like it's too mushy maybe you're overcooking it? I can't say I've ever felt like mine is "mushy" but it needs to reach a certain level of softness for you easily scrape the flesh out. It's possible you're just not a fan of the texture0 -
