This one is excellent. Only canned item is coconut milk, unless you can find it un-canned. Had it for dinner last night, so tasty!
ETA: used chicken breast instead of thighs, and used smart balance instead of real butter (hubby is lactose intolerant), made it 211 calories per serving.0 -
check out crockingirls.com they have some awesome receipes all for the crock pot, anything you can think of.0

I added a recipe for jerk chicken to the MFP database that uses only fresh ingredients, a food processor and a crock pot.
Tonight, we are having chicken chili. Lean ground chicken, a can of tomatoes, a can of beans, corn, and seasonings.
Really, once you figure out a good balance of meat/veggies/wet ingredients, you can stick just about anything you want in there and have a good meal come out of it.0 -

Also, you can cook a lot of things in a crockpot even if the recipe says to use an oven. Here's a bunch of tips and conversions if you want to try that: http://homecooking.about.com/library/weekly/blcrocktips.htm0

Sooooooooooo... any recipes for one pot meals in the crock pot that do not include cream soups?
I'm going to assume that your babies disfavour the texture and look of cream on their dinner plates. I understand that despite your personal preference@not minding creamy canned soups ~ you want to have your children enjoy their dinner too. There are many recipes on Pinterest.
