No weight loss this week, but some really good wins: I did log in every day, I did workout three times (which is 3 more than the last month), I did record everything I ate and I did weigh myself every morning. (I know there are different opinions about this and it doesn't work for everyone, but it does for me and Dr. Oz recommends it.)

So I met my goal of staying conscious..

Awesome job Karin. You should be really proud of yourself for reconnecting, recommitting and doing it so well. I missed you and I am so glad you are back.

I had a lovely date with DH last night. We ended up going to the local casino. I love roulette and taught DH my system. We played for several hours and ended up doubling our money so dinner was on them We ate really light, had a chilled seafood platter and a seafood cocktail and a glas of wine. Then I had a bottle of wine when I got home since I was the driver. It was a lot of fun and i didn't blow the calories too much. It was a much needed break to get out of the house and try to destress.

good luck to you all this week.

I just saw this! I had lost down to 137, but now I am back up to 140 - I need to get those 5 pounds off, but probably won't be able to do it by Nov. 1, but hopefully I will be back down to 137. I am in to lose my last 5! Goal is 135. I am 5'9"

RJ, I love roulette! I'm glad you had a great night, you deserve it.

Jillery, exercise will absolutely make a difference. For me, it's not only about the calories I burn but when I move everyday I feel like I reconnect with my body in a very tangible way. I am more aware when I slouch and when my stomach pooches out and every time I pull in those abs and stand straighter I know I am raising my metabolism which of course burns more calories.

The hardest part for me is consistency. When people say it's like brushing your teeth, I think what are they talking about - I have to deliberately remember to brush my teeth - for me even brushing my teeth isn't like brushing your teeth. If I lived alone and never left my house I'd have no teeth left because contact with the world is what triggers me to brush. I have no trigger for exercising - maybe that's what I need.

Hello All, my challenge is to stay at 119 pounds (or as close as possible) for all of October....... I reached goal weight of 119 pounds the middle of August and i am struggling to stay there!!!!! Not a very good week for me at all  I have been bad very bad the last couple of days but will try harder again the coming week!!!

    9/3/10..........119.....pounds
    9/10/10........119.5 pounds
    9/17/10........120.5 pounds
    9/24/10........119...YEHHHHH
    10/1/10.........121...pounds
    10/7/10.........118...pounds
    10/15/10.......121..pounds

Good Luck to you all .

I am in that boat too! The only difference is that I've been too scared to weigh myself! With work and wedding weekends, I have gone right back to eating like I used to and threw in a wild drinking binge to boot! Running has not happened in a week and I'm hoping to get out today when my husband gets home! Everything is SO overwhelming that this was always my worst fear!

Good luck with holding on yourself. I'm thinking that 2lbs is not that bad of a slide...certainly nothing you can't come back from. I'm praying mine is not too much more than that!

I am laughing so hard because I can relate to all of that SO much! I needed that! How about something a little more regular and uncontrollable...like peeing first thing in the morning. Now there is never a day that I skip that and say, "nah, not today".

We're home after our wonderful day at the Missouri Botanical Gardens and Zoo. Beautiful weather and scenery and my gorgeous hubby to stare at all day, what more could I ask for

Update on Grandpa, he is speaking now and understands mostly what's going on. The last memory he has is of last Friday (not this past). He has fought off almost all infections and pneumonia and will be out of ICU hopefully tomorrow, depending on when a room opens up and could possibly be home by this coming Friday. After the beautiful day we had, this news just makes it even better. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and dealing with my moods this past month. Love you all.

Sorry to overload the thread with pics, but here's just a few:

    Good morning all.

I just caught up on the posts. For those of you who don't know why that scale went up a pound or two even though you had a good week, remember weight can fluctuate 1,2 or even 3 pounds a day. Also if you have a really intense workout the day before your weigh-in you muscles may be storing a little extra water. Don't get discouraged keep on track and hopefully the next weigh in will show the results you are looking for.

    Have a great Monday!

    Terri

Hello everyone I was not able to post my weigh in on friday so I will post friday's weigh in a little late.
Since I started with mfp and lost 5lbs I have not been able to lose more than those 5lbs my weight keeps going up and down but it wont go below 163, I want to get out of the 160s already. It's hard to stay positive sometimes, but im trying.

Monday morning check in time for me. My weight really dropped down this week. I WAS down to 187 two days in a row but then it went up to 189. This morning it's back down to 188 so I'll go with that. I've been under so much stress that I've been eating really poorly. No time to cook, haven't had my favorite Lean Cuisine lunches so I've been eating out. One of these days I'll get to the grocery store! I've just got this week to get ready for my move. I have Tuesday and Sunday off and then I leave Monday. I don't have any idea how I'll get ready and packed! I'm feeling really guilty leaving my husband here. I know he'll be okay and I'll be too busy to worry but I will definitely miss him.
