I've been working on being more body positive for a while now. Trying to shift my thinking from what I want to change to what I appreciate. So, a month or so ago, every time I was getting dressed for the day, I'd look in the mirror and give myself five compliments. Today, I woke up and, without telling myself to, I saw myself in the mirror and thought, "Your legs look strong!". This is a huge change for me, and I'm proud of myself for caring about my body for it is and what it can be.

My best friend offered to bring over some left over birthday cake, and I told him no thank you ^^ Then I went grocery shopping and didn't buy any sweets/crisps/other unhealthy snacks! And then I had to go back because I forgot something... and still didn't buy any crap! :D
Resisting temptation three times in 1 day is a BIG deal for me ^^

Took my daughter to buy some clothes yesterday. Saw a cute dress, thought 'what the heck' and picked up a large to try on. It was TOO BIG. Bought the medium and I'm wearing it to work today!

Proud of not being annoyed that over the last three days the number on the scales has gone up by 1 lb rather than down, because I know that's just the usual fluctuation and I'll be down by my target 2 lbs by Friday

I did a 2:34 half marathon yesterday, shaving 11 minutes off since September.

The jeans I wore yesterday and the work pants I'm wearing today were both loose! Straight from the dryer too!

I started over today and actually recorded my real weight, and not the weight I was the last time I did this!

Because today is the one year anniversary of the day I started running! And here I am, still running, getting more serious about it all the time, planning my first marathon!

That I ate oatmeal for breakfast instead of one or two delicious sausage and cheese taquitos.

I hit 14 lbs lost today (but won't record it on my tracker until my 'Weigh in Wednesday'). Not been this weight for about 10 years. Am so enjoying doing MFP and reading of all the other success stories etc

I am proud of putting myself in a position to succeed today. I had my meals/snacks all planned out (except dinner but with tons of room for it). I'm also proud that I've completed week 1 with a 5.4 pound weight loss to show for it. I know some is water weight but I'll take it nonetheless!

Even though I have blistered on both feet, I still did my 10,000 steps today and a bit more!

Today I was able to wear a belt that has not fit me in nearly two years! It's at the last hole, but it fits!

  • I'm proud I made a good decision to get healthy. I walked for 50 minutes and have eaten less and healthier today. I'm also proud of the fact that I signed up on this site and am committed.
