Nerds who lift

Like many others, when I first signed up on MFP and wanted to get back into shape, I thought heavy lifting was just for [jock/meathead/stereotype] or people who were "naturally strong." But then reading in the fitness and exercise forums here, I noticed quite a lot of geeky and/or smart people who were posting about lifting heavy and strength training with barbells and such.
So I tried it and got hooked. A year later at 44 I'm still enjoying it, and now I'm stronger and healthier than I was at 34. For example here's me squatting 275 lbs.
And here's my nerdcred: "my nintendo is bigger than yours"
(This was at E3 2001.)
Any other nerdy/geeky lifters out there, care to check in and show the newbies that we can lift too?

These are old and my lifts (and form! lol) have greatly improved since then:
For nerdcred-- here's a painting I did last year of a submarine in the shape of a beluga whale.

Thank you. I was looking for long socks for my first meet for deadlifts as you need to lift in a singlet, saw them and had to get them.0 -
old pictures, of me slightly fatter and making awful faces. Also tiny bar and no rack, because I'm squatting like no weight at all. We all gotta start somewhere.

Was repping batman before those movies
