What do you eat for breakfast?

This morning I had oatmeal and 1/2 cup of strawberries. Is that enough? I'm NOT hungry at all but I've been told I should have my biggest meal at breakfast. Is this enough or should I eat more?

4 egg whites, 1 normal egg, spinach, onions a bowl of cereal (high protein/fiber) and soy milk... Meal times don't really matter as long as your body gets the needed calories for your activity. Being Hungry isn't the only indicator your body needs food.. you can never feel hungry and really be undereating.0

If it satisfies your hunger, it's enough. And eat your biggest meal when you're the most hungry.
My breakfast is usually an egg white omelet with spinach, red onions, and feta cheese. I follow that with coffee and a Fiber One bar. I also drink 5 cups of water in the morning- I have a 20 oz water bottle that I fill up first thing in the morning and chug, and then refill and drink another 20 oz with my breakfast.0 -
Oatmeal and coffee. I am not a big morning eater. I have to have been awake for a few hours before I can eat in the morning.0

Up to you, depends what your goals are.
I typically have 100g of cornflakes, with 300g of soy milk, and an omelette of 3-6 eggs, potatoes, garlic, and onion.0 -
I rarely eat breakfast, whether I'm gaining, losing or maintaining my weight. I eat when I get hungry, which usually not before noon.
I bought into the whole "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" for a while, but it didn't make me feel less hungry later, it just meant I ate more calories for the whole day.
Eat whenever keeps you most satisfied and on track. There is no magic to eating soon after rising.0 -

coffee w/ cinnamon, pomegranate greek yogurt with a T. chia seeds and 2 poached eggs.That's just what i had today. I usually eat oatmeal or yogurt and some fruit.0

I very rarely eat my biggest meal of the day at breakfast. I find that roughly 200-300 calories is a good breakfast amount that will easily hold me over 'til lunch when I have a slightly heartier appetite.
Frequent breakfasts for me (all accompanied with a 10 oz cup of coffee, 1 packet sweetener & splash of dairy or almond milk):
egg taco made of 1 "fried" egg (Canola spray) on a SMALL flour tortilla with 1/2 TBSP. southwest chipotle ranch dressing (with or without chopped bell pepper, mushrooms or onions...usually w/o)
"muffin cup" made of 1/4 c. quick oats, 1 tsp brown sugar, cinnamon, splash of vanilla, 1 egg & handful of strawberries or blueberries mixed up in a large coffee cup and microwaved 2 minutes. Topped with 1/3 TBSP. chopped pecans or walnuts and 1/8 c. sugar free syrup
1 hard-boiled egg (or occasionally a Canola-fried egg) w/ a piece of toast with butter/margarine OR apricot/fig jam
Fage plain Greek yogurt (about 3 oz) with 5-10 raw unsalted almonds, quick squirt of clover honey and a piece of fruit or some berries
1-2 egg omelet with various veggies included (bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, spinach) and some southwest dressing or salsa on top
1/4 c. steel cut oats with cinnamon, dried cranberries or raisins, and a little brown sugar after being soaked overnight in a water/milk mixture. Sometimes I add 1/3 TBSP. chopped nuts to this, or sub 1/2 sliced banana for the dried cranberries.
1 Canola-fried egg on a wheat Sandwich Skinny with 1-2 veggie sausage links cut in half and 1/8 c. shredded cheddar.
Those are the frequent players for me. Although occasionally on the weekends my husband will make something fantastic like vegan pumpkin pancakes, crepes with a Neufchatel filling & fruit or Nutkao & banana...lemon ricotta pancakes...and about once a month we'll grab regular bad-for-you donuts ;-)0 -
i normally dont do Bk. but if i do i do a yogurt.i know its bad but i get up so early and i don't have time to make anything.0

Oatmeal, dried fruit/nuts on top. Or some fruit and cottage cheese. I don't have a lot of time in the morning, but if you eat some protein (boiled egg, etc) that usually helps. I end up having to have a snack mid-morning usually.0

60 pounds lost, and not once did I concern myself over how much or how little I ate for breakfast, or dinner for that matter. Stick to your calorie goal, try to stay close to your macros, and don't worry about timing. If you eat less, you will lose. period.0

I have to be at work by 6:30 so I grab one of: Clif Builder Bar, Clif Bar, Special K Protein Bar, Special K Breakfast Sandwich0

A really big plate of fruit (actually just a 9"ish plate but it is full!). Typically dates, figs, grapes, peach, pear, pomegranate and persimmon. Sometimes with rhubarb, cherries, or passion fruit depending on what I got in that week. Along with 3 heaped up tablespoons, or about 1/4 of a 500g pot non-fat Greek yogurt (I actually prefer the taste to full-fat and it makes me feel less icky) with a couple teaspoons honey.
Then a mug of unsweetened green tea, half a small glass of pomegranate juice, and a big ol' glass of water.
It's a bit unfair to just label it breakfast, since it normally takes me a couple hours to work through it - I pick at it throughout the morning. Really it's breakfast + midmorning snack + sometimes also lunch depending how late I started.0 -

I'm usually in a hurry during the week so probably 4 days a week I have a banana, energy bar and a few oz of juice. Often keep this to 400 calories or less. I don't subscribe to the theory of having breakfast as a heavy meal.
On the weekend, I'll go for oatmeal one day or waffle of something more substantial if I do a longer run.
A good treat is Casadian organic granola with strawberries and bananas.0 -

Its 10:24am where I am and all I've had so far is 3.5ish litres of water, 40oz of coffee, 1 splwnda packet, and like 3oz of almond milk.
When I do eat, I'll be having 2 fried eggs and a hearty chicken sausage (*giggle*)
As others have said, if you don't want breakfast, don't eat it. It not the 'most important meal of the day' as some people preach0 -
I don't eat breakfast. I'm never hungry in the mornings so my first meal, lunch, will be around noon or 1:00.0

I usually eat oatmeal -- sometimes with brown sugar and cinnamon, sometimes with sugar-free syrup, sometimes with sugar-free Coffeemate (my favorite way), and (in the summer) with Greek yogurt as overnight oatmeal.
I didn't eat breakfast until after I saw a nutritionist several years ago. That was one of her BIGGIES. :-)
Rarely do I skip breakfast. I'm not always hungry when I eat it (shortly after I get up), but I for me, it is an important way to not overeat at lunch time.

> Banana oatmeal muffins
> Yogurt parfait
> Yogurt and a protein bar
On the weekend it's usually scrambled eggs and turkey bacon.0
