I know it's hard to keep hearing the same thing over and over again but WOW !! Amazing job !!

Oh and Hubby looks great too !:blushing:

I have gotten to the longest plateau yet and you hit the nail on the head in one of your responses about weighing foods.

I have lost 72 pounds without weighing foods but I am now at a point where I know that this is my issue , because I exercise and stay below " estimated calories " and am not losing .I will be buying a food scale next week and get the rest of this weight off,. Thank you for sharing .

ditto ditto on all the comments (7 pages) above me: You ROCK! You Kick *kitten*! You look like a different person! Your husband looks great. ALL OF IT! =) What I do appreciate is you mentioning WW as a positive. I did WW, lost about 40 lbs....gained it back over 2 years bc of ME, not a reflection of WW. Now I'm on MFP and echoing your sentiments, I learned SO many of the basics from WW and honestly that helps me SO much now. Even when I wasn't tracking, what I learned STUCK w me AND influenced me and my choices. Once again congratulations & thank you for sharing! All the best for continued success. Happy New Year!

I too started out without weighing my food. I found when I did start weighing my food that I was way over estimating. I also weigh food that can be measured in a cup. Take marshmallows for example. If you need a cup of marshmallows you will see very quickly that there is a lot of empty space. And how do you effectively measure a cup of miniature marshmallows and then turn around and measure a cup of regular size marshmallows? I know marshmallows are a bad example (not a good food). Grapes are a better healthier example. Now, go measure a cup of grapes and then weigh them. Compare.

 thank you for sharing this. it is such an inspiration. you are beautiful both heavy and thin. i am struggling as well but since i found this app, its been fun and challenging as well. i too am trying just about the same as what you are. i too LOVED to worry about my next meal and have gone through pretty much the same as your story, except no kids. the eating good food part is whats hard for me right now. im not much of a beef eater anyhow, so, lean meats is ok too

Thank you everyone!! Believe it or not your positive feedback provides me with some additional motivation! Yes, my husband has lost some weight as well. He eats away from home a lot so his journey has taken a little longer. I don't think he is ready to lose it. His day will come! I have shared your positive feedback with him. Maybe that will get him a little more motivated.
  • Wow! I just joined mfp today and I am officially inspired. Great job you look amazing : )
