Anyone else run around the house at the end of the night just to make it to 10,000 steps?
On a slow day I check my steps after dinner and then see if I can add a few extra.0 -

Was worried that I wouldn't make my steps on the 15th (I'm aiming for 15K/day) because I was going to a movie at 7pm, so I went for a brisk 70-minute walk before dinner ... and then totally blasted past that 15K. Also took 5-minute walk breaks at work every couple of hours to keep the numbers up. Constant tracking really does keep me more aware of when I haven't moved in a while, which I guess is the basis of the Fitbit (etc.) philosophy.0 -

Checking my count throughout the day helps me set mini goals. When I go for a cup of coffee, if I am at 4,200 steps, I will say I can't sit back down unit I am at 4,500 steps. Def keeps me moving more!0 -

Thanks! Yeah, every time I see that I'm within about 300 or fewer of a new thousand, I always feel compelled to push to it. (I've gotten some weird looks at work because I work in a pool with three other people, but they're getting used to it!)
Fitbit definitely keeps me accountable, and I really like to see the way that little movements throughout the day add up.0 -
