I freeze fresh fruit and use it through all year long.... using frozen fruit does not require ice cubes and makes creamier smoothie.
I also freeze my yogurt. Dannon Light and Fit yogurt and I use the empty yogurt cup to measure my fruit and almond milk.
ORANGE BLISS
6-8 frozen orange sections
1 ring frozen pineapple
1 partially thawed orange bliss yogurt (6 oz)
6oz almond milk
STRAWBERRY:
6oz frozen strawberries
1 partially thawed strawberry yogurt
6 oz almond milk
POACHED PEAR: (I make my own poached pears: core/ peel/ slice pears, add to simmering V8 infusion pomegranate blueberry juice with sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg ...to your taste... Steep til pears are infused with juice and are soft. This is good warm as dessert or over ice cream, but I freeze some and use in smoothie.)
1c frozen poached pears
1/2c spinach fresh
6-8oz almond milk
Hope you enjoy! :-)0 -

1 cup unsweetened Almond Milk
few drops of Stevia
1 scoop Whey protein powder
Huge handful of either spinach or baby power greens
Then for variety one or more of these - banana, 1 cup frozen berries, pineapple (with coconut oil & banana for pina colada), unsweetened cocoa powder, any other frozen fruit.
Sometimes if I'm craving ice cream I'll mix up almond milk, stevia, coconut oil and fruit. Very delicious.0 -

Love this one!
3 oz firm Tofu
1/2 cup of liquid (any type of milk, almond milk, coconut milk, water, whatever)
1 small banana
1 1/2 T cocoa powder (unsweetened)
2 large tablespoons of plain greek yogurt
3 T oats
1 c frozen fruit (I like strawberries or blueberries)-Got a big bag at Sam's for cheap
It has like 20 g protein in it. You can't even taste the tofu, it just makes it very thick and creamy. You can really add whatever you want to it. My hubbs likes PB with no strawberries (ice instead).0 -
