For Fun: What has been the most interesting part of the weather for you and how does it affect your ability to exercise?
We have a quite a bit of ice and single digit and below freezing temps...so, I walk inside on treadmill! It is hard when it is so cold...our only source of heat is a wood stove...walking on the treadmill keeps me warm!0 -

The weather lately has sucked! I usually do workout videos so the weather doesn't affect that, but it's a bugger getting motivated in the morning to take my dog for his walk when it's -25 C (-38 C with the windchill)!!:noway: I also walk him after work which never seems as bad as the morning walk!0 -

Woohoo, one week in and I'm already almost halfway there Hope everyone else is doing well too. February's a short month, so I was worried it would be harder to hit the 5lbs, but I do actually like having a nearer goal to aim for. Of course, I'll need to do this again in March (and April, May, etc), but I'm telling myself it's just for Feb for now, and that makes it easier.
The weather has been MISERABLE here (in the UK), so I've only made it out for one lunch time walk this week. Hope it'll be nicer at the weekend.0 -

i did pretty well maintaining the diet this week. Out of excitement, i weighed myself this morning and saw the number drop..... if i record the weight on the non-weigh-in day, would i be cheating?0

Jsphine - take your loss as your WIN. I did too! I got a new scale and started weigh ins from that date. After you have been working out, you want to see results. Let us know!!! Weigh again tomorrow too!!

Well in Australia it's Saturday so I did my weigh in:
I'm doing kilos not pounds because we're on the metric system where I live, and imperial is too confusing to me as I count in metric (Sorry my fellow Americans, I can see how metric is confusing to you! haha)

CW: 88 (Gained a kilo since my last weigh in in December, but that was before the silly season so not bad considering how bad I've been)

I'm fluctuating because I need to uptake my water I think. Yesterday I weighed 87 kilos, the day before that it was 89 so I drank lots of water and it went down for yesterday. So I'll uptake my water and see how I go on the 15th. No need to panic yet.0 -

For Fun: What has been the most interesting part of the weather for you and how does it affect your ability to exercise?
Well here in Melbourne it is the height of summer, and we've been having heat waves of over 40 degrees Celsius - so uh... that's been pretty interesting. Can't go outside without wanting to die, never mind going a proper walk! We don't have great AC either, so even inside can be a bit of a challenge, plus sleeping is pretty much non existent at those temperatures.
So some days I really don't feel like exercising, TOO HOT.
But considering all that, I've been pretty good. I crank up the AC and do a workout DVD for 45 minutes to an hour, three times a week. I'll be adding to that for this challenge, hopefully. And if we get a good weather day (below 30) I'll be out walking0 -
