I'm off the wagon... however, it's the first time in 3 weeks that I've had any kind of restaurant food at all. I had one appointment after the other at the office today & one of the girls was going to get Chickfila. I only had a granola bar for breakfast & I knew I was staying until 7ish at work. :grumble:

So... I had a grilled chicken sandwich, small fry & diet coke. Could have been worse.
  • I fell off today, but only a little bit. Had ChikFilA for lunch because after several hours of Christmas shopping the baby in my belly needed something. Stayed under on sodium and calories today and doubled my water to 16 glasses, so I feel fine about it.
  • I'm in, although November is mostly over. Maybe we can continue till the end of the year. Holiday food is bad enough without adding fast food. I work and live right by Chik-Fil-A, Burger King, Taco Bell, Arby's, McDonalds, Wendy's, etc. I have to also add Mexican food to my no-no list. I live in Colorado, and went to a pretty high-end Mexican restaurant, and could not find anything healthy, so I have to stay away.

I'd opt to continue as well...it's a great way to make me think even if I run short of time NOT to stop because you all are working on the same thing:wink: I rarely eat out anymore but do like the idea of feeling a bit of a reward by being able to come here and say I succeeded yet another day!:drinker:

So glad the thread was started...was a great idea:flowerforyou:

Absolutely!! I'd like to continue this in December for sure! For me, making it known that I'm going to be off limits to fast food helps keep me more accountable.

  • 21 days done! Feeling great! When I feel like I'm rushed and I didn't make a plan and pack a lunch, I've been going to the deli and getting a salad or turkey sandwich.

I have been doing great avoiding fast food. We have gone to a few restaurants this month, but even then, I try to make smart choices.

I had a breakfast sandwich from McDonalds yesterday morning. We didn't have any food in the house and were on our way to visit my grandma for the last time. Also had a slice of pizza cause my mom got one for all the grandkids. Today is a new day!

I totally caved today and got taco bell. Its been awhile. Back at it tomorrow, but it might be hard. We'll be on the road most of the day for a funeral and a little running before Thanksgiving.

Finishing out the month pretty well. I did eat a couple of fast food fries (someone else's order but none the less, still fast food) sometime this month (it's on this thread someplace lol) and last night I ate 2 of someone's onion rings. Fast food sure doesn't taste very good to me, the less you eat out the less tasty it becomes, my experience at least.:flowerforyou: Does anyone else experience this?

With only a few more days in the month left we still have next month to excel in so keep it up ppl you're doing great!! :drinker: Think on how much you'd be eating out if you'd not joined this thread, likely more right? I don't often eat out anymore (I did more before MFP though) but still like to have a place to be accountable so it keeps me from being impulsive knowing you're all here working on the same goals.

Cheers for Shannon starting the thread and for all of you that joined it to support others looking to stay off it, cut back or clean it up completely (as we all have different goals I imagine)... it takes a village!:tongue:

yesterday I had chicken tortilla soup from beef a roo. and broke down and had a cheddar fry (jr. size) too yummy! I still feel that overall, this forum has made me more conscious of not eating fast food as month. There are times when I drove past a Wendys and didn't look back. I'd just wait until I got home so I can make a healthier choice. Thanks again. Anyone considering the challenge for December too?
  • I'm really happy with myself so far...no fast food (though I did not start at the beginning of Nov); I did have pizza the other night with my husband, but we made it at home, so I don't think it counts ;)

I'm going to go through December--hope some of you will join me!

Carrie, I'm on board. Looked at beef a roo website and the soup for 1 cup in only 140 calories, the bowl 210 calories. So not as bad as I thought!
